I froze. Johnny called me again, and I picked up.
'Kenzie? Kenzie listen-'
'Ssh,' I managed to whisper.
'What happened?' Said Johnny.
I looked around and dived into the nearest wardrobe, closing the door softly behind me.
'Johnny,' I whispered. 'Someone's just broke the door down and I'm hiding in the closet and-'
'Kenz,' he whispered. 'I'm coming.'
Johnny pov:
'Mom! MOM!' I shouted, running to the front door. 'Kenzie's in trouble, I have to go help her! I'm goi-'
'Woah woah woah,' said my mom. 'What's-'
'No time to explain!' I shouted. 'Follow me! Lauren, you come too!'
I barged through the door and ran down the street to Kenzie's house. The door was broken down and as I ran in, I noticed the blood on the closet and the broken window.
'Kenzie!' I shouted, panic clouding my mind, taking over my instincts. 'KENZIE!' I cried, a tear rolling down my cheek.
'Johnny,' said Lauren, 'she's gone. We have to call the poli-'
I fell to my knees.
'I should have been there,' I whispered, and passed out.
