Captured by my Mate's Pack

Chapter 14

When I got back to the castle, my mother, father and Sky, were all eating lunch. Mine sat on the table getting cold, it looked like some sort of French delicacy. I silently took a seat at the long table and started poking at my food with my fork.

 " Welcome back Ryan, glad you could join us." My father said after swallowing a mouthful.

I rolled my eyes as I replied "as if I had a choice, its not like I can leave the castle and have a life."

The room filled with silence and only the sound of the classical music floated in the room. I stood up and left, not even trying my lunch. I would rather go without food than not see my mate. When I got to my room I started to think up a plan to escape. My best bet would be to swim across the moat, I thought.

Soon my father entered the room and perched himself on the edge of my bed beside me. I had my chin resting on my hands as I was deep in thought of how to escape. "Son, I hate to see you like this. I know how we can make you feel better, we're going to get the pack doctor to cut away your mark."

I suddenly shot up off the bed and turned around with an evil glare in my eyes, I was becoming full with hatred for him. He had the ordacity to say he would have my mark cut away! He knew very well Violet was pregnant and it could make her lose the baby, but no, he would have no remorse just as he had none as he dragged me away from my new home shouting and waving my legs.

I was speechless at him saying what he did so I ran out of the door, I ran down the stairs, turning into my wolf form half way down again. I got to the door and smashed it open with all my might. When I had ran through the small group of trees on the East of the castle, I saw the moat and started getting faster as I ran. I didn't care how wide it was, even if it was 5 metres I would try jumping it. The trees became a blur as I got faster and faster, my fur was flying in the cold wind. I was putting all my energy into my run, I heard my father shout with his Alpha voice with mind link, "STOP! The moat is too wide, YOU WON'T MAKE IT!" He shouted with authority. I ignored him, I was going to make it, or die trying.

I wasn't going to be with Sky, yes she looked nice and had a nice personality from what I had saw, but she was nothing compared to Violet, a vision of her beautiful glowing face shot into my mind, her hair was dark and curly and she was smiling. I shut the vision out of my mind as I got ready for the jump..

I got to the edge and leaped, I stretched my front legs out and catapulted myself across the water, I got quite far, about half way, then began descending through the cold air towards it. There were small fish which attacked you when you went in the water, Pirahnas I think.

I felt the freezing water envelope my furry body. I went under the water and opened my eyes, there were fish coming towards me in the current which was pulling me to the right. I swam to the surface and kicked my legs to swim to the other side, only about 2 metres away I thought. I got to the edge and grabbed a clump of grass just as a Pirahna latched it's teeth onto my paw. I yelped in pain as it started ripping at my flesh as I pulled myself out. 

I turned into my human form and started hitting the Pirahna with my hand, balling it into a fist I smashed it off my foot. I dropped back onto the long grass and sighed. I was free, unless they came for me again. My foot was bleeding and it looked like the fish had bit a chunk of it right off.

My father had reached the other edge of the moat at this point and started shouting at me to come back. I ignored him and stood up. I started limping towards the trees that lay ahead of me. The last words I heard from him were "we will be coming for you, and we will kill the wretched girl this time to make sure you have no where else to go."

My mind link would work now, so I sent Violet a message straight away, "I'm so sorry I've been so long, they put a barrier against mind links up so I couldn't contact you, I hope you're alright my love, I've missed you dearly. I can't wait to see you. I just jumped the moat, well almost."

Her reply was so fast it shocked me, she had obviously been alert for mind messages when I sent mine, her voice entered my mind and at once I felt at peace, "You jumped the moat?!" Her voice was shocked, obviously it must have been a wide moat I had managed to jump, I hadn't really noticed because I was concentrating on achieving my desperate bid for freedom, "I can't wait to see you, I've been waiting so long! I love you."

I smiled as I changed direction when I was deep within the trees and started on my way back to Violet.
