Next day, different day
Kyla❗💜❗"Happy birthday, babe," I said, kissing Terrence cheek.
Today is Terrence birthday and tomorrow is Anthony birthday therefore we're having a little night out tonight.
"My birthday boyyy," his mom said, pushing his cheeks together.
"Mommmmm," he whined as he attempted to push her away.
"Girl, I know you're trouble," Juliya said to me as I fixed my boyfriend plate.
"Stay whipping in the kitchen," Naomi added.
"Well, I like to eat and my mom does too," I said, sticking out my tongue.
"You're a fool," Anthony said to me.
"You already know," I said.
"Okay, I know you guys have to go therefore let me get one more picture," Terrence mom said.
We mumbled a few things under our breath before posing together.
"Say Eighteen!," his mom yelled.
"Eighteen!," we yelled and then she took the picture.
"Okay, have a good night!," she yelled.
We quickly walked out of the room and then towards the cars.
————————————————————-"I really love you!," I said, grabbing onto Terrence waist.
"Okay, you're drunk," he said, attempting to pick me up.
"I'm okay," I said, snatching a bottle of Hennessy away from Juliya.
"Noooo," Naomi whines as she approached me with Anthony.
"Trey!," I yelled as he looked up from his phone.
"Kyla!," he yelled.
"How are you?," I asked him, placing my hand on my shoulder.
"I'm good," he said, glancing at my hand.
Maybe by Teyana Taylor Ft Push T and Yo Gotti began to play in the background as we spoke.
Verse 1: Yo Gotti]
Maybe, maybe it's the money, baby, maybe not
Maybe I fell in love with ya on the spot, never lie
I keep it G, I told you that there off the top
Maybe you never met a street nigga thuggin' on the block
And I ain't fuckin' with no thot shawty
Powerball, this your shot shawty
And if they hatin' let them talk, shawty
And I been drinking too much, and it got me thinking too much
You in my head what the fuckInspiration grabbed his hand and then they made their way to the dance floor.
I stood with my jaw dropped as she danced against him.I picked up my cap and gown from school this morning. I'm ready to graduate and start the next chapter in life. I've been receiving letters back from school all day. One letter stuck out to me the most because it's in New York and I'm not ready to go that far away from home. Terrence doesn't know about my letter from Princeton yet and I'm honestly scared to tell him about it.
"Aye, What's on your mind?," Antonio asked me.
I pulled him to the side, "I have to tell you something ."
"What is it?," he asked as we stood in a corner.
"I received an acceptance letter from Princeton," I said.
"Me too," he said.
"I don't know how to tell my boyfriend," I mumbled.
"I don't know how to tell my girlfriend," he mumbled.
We looked up at each other. "Listen to your heart!," we yelled simultaneously, over the loud music.
"I love you and I'll always support you," he said, holding my left hand and smiling.
"I love you more," I said as he rubbed his thumb in a circular motion on my hand.
"I should let go now," he said.
I nodded and then we both laughed.
"Just turn up with me," I said as Sauce it up by Lil Uzi Vert began to play.
"You're still a little drunk huh?," he asked me.
"Just a little bit," I said, smiling.
I fucking love my brother.
—————————————————
We finally decided to go home. My dad sat at the kitchen table with an envelope in his hand.
"Princeton huh?," my dad asked me as I took a seat across from him.
"Dad, I don't know," I responded, pushing my braids to the side.
"That's far away," he said.
"I'm going to make the right decision," I said.
"Listen to your heart," he said, sliding the letter in front of me.
"I hear you," I said before sighing.
"Go to sleep," my dad said.
"I will," I said.
My dad followed me up the stairs, patting my back a few times and keeping his mouth shut.
We finally reached my room door. "Good night," I whispered as my dad kissed my forehead.
Then he walked in his room.
"Just listen to your heart," my mom voice echoed in the distance as the wind blown from my window in my room.
