Another day comes, I do what I hate to do; Going to school. I guess when people say that whatever takes a great amount of effort to accomplish or get rid of, will be worth it in the end, even if it doesn't seem that way. It took great amount of effort not to stay home in my bed all day today. I'm expecting to accomplish massive in the future.I lazily pushed my unwanted books in my locker and took out the ones I would need after lunch since I had fourth period a while back.
That took a lot of effort.
Everything in my life takes effort.
"August!"
I spun around to my name being called. I looked up to see my best friend Adrianna waving and walking towards me. She seemed much bubbler than usual.
"What's got you so happy?" I asked. She was always happy but it was a bit more today. Sometimes I wish I could be as happy as her.
"Gustie, did you hear that there will be a group of boys transferring here? What's up with that anyways? Who transfers in the middle of the year?" She asked, completely ignoring my question. I bet she didn't even hear me. The news piqued my interest though.
"All boys? Why?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I'd tell you if I knew. Heard its gonna be about five or six of them."
"That's super weird. Anyways, good luck for those boys. They'll have the entire female population waiting for them. Let's pray that they're not supermodel hot so that our ears won't fall of from all the squealing the girls will be doing."
"Oh please Gustie. Haven't you read enough wattpad books? They're gonna be super fine! One is gonna have beautiful eyes. One is gonna have a sweet smile. One it's gonna have beautiful teeth. One is gonna have the cutest dimples ever like you..." she listed on her fingers as she goes along. "Another is gonna smell really nice and another is gonna give great hugs and the other is gonna be closed off. We know this."
"I think you should stop reading for a while. I'm a bit concern..." I shook my head at my best friend. She was right though. It's always like that. In every girl's fantasy, the guy has to have at least one of those characteristics. If he didn't then he won't be considered as 'The One'.
"You know I'm right. Anyways, I'm starved, Let's get lunch shall we." I nodded and we both went to our usually table. We talked to some other friends while we were in the line for food since we werent sovially awkward. We knew quiet a lot of persons that weren't in any of our classes but it had always been Adri, and I. It'll forever be Adri and I.
We have been best friend since the beginning of freshman year. Our first encounter always made me laugh whenever I thought about it. It had been like any other day when I felt the need to use the girls room. I walked into the bathroom and was pushing doors open with my foot to check if they were clean. I had just checked the second stall, moving to the third but it was locked. Just as I was about walk to the other stall, the door flew open and wham! In about three seconds I was on the floor in pain.
Adrianna had pushed the door and hit me straight in the face...
Imagine a bruise on the forehead and a scarred mindset of how dirty that door was. Adri apologized profusely while I washed my face in the same manner. I had accepted her apology, even though my head hurt for about a week. From then we became quite inseparable.
Adri is really beautiful despite her features being common among Asians. Adri is Korean-American, but culturally more American. Her ability to dye her hair in any colour and it suits her still shocks me. She was sporting a dark red color but when the sun hits it, it looks almost burgundy. It was really beautiful and fitted her perfectly. She had the typical eyes, nose and body size of a Korean, but her personality somehow enhanced her beauty. She's strong headed, confident, outgoing, and intelligent.
