Monday has finally arrived and I was dreading it. I really hated Mondays, I really did. I was currently sitting with Adri in the cafeteria on our lunch period talking about everything that came to our minds.
Well, Adri was talking about anything that came to her mind. I threw in my occasional 'really' 's and 'oh' 's when I thought was necessary. I've been zoning out into nothingness since the beginning of the day.
"August"
"For real?"
"August?"
"No way dude, that's great!"
"August!" Adri shouted capturing my attention. "What the hell are you talking about? Why are you zoning out so much?"
"Huh? Weren't you talking to me?"
"I stopped talking when I realized you weren't listening. I've been calling your name for five minutes but you kept replying to God knows what." She was worried.
I sighed, "I'm sorry. I didn't get much slept last night. I'm just really tired."
Of life.
"Gustie..." she trailed her eyes to anywhere but me. I watch as she stared behind me intently with big doe like eyes. She lick her lips as if she was staring at the most delicious plate of food she has ever seen. I turned, following her gaze. when I turned around, my eyes fasten upon five boys walking inside the cafeteria. I turned back to her and rolled my eyes. Of course, the boys were here. Why did they always have to make an entrance when it's lunch time? Like why?
They went to the lunch line to order their food and of course, everyone's eyes were on them because they were obviously new but I swear the guys were walking in slow motion! Intentionally. I shook my head and was about to turn again when I realize that these guys seem oddly familiar. They really did look familiar. I shook my head again trying to snap out of the daze I was in. I turned to Adri who was still looking on them.
"Dude, you're drooling!" I almost cracked up when she still didn't snap out of her daze but still reached a hand to wipe her mouth. "You're helpless."
I watch as she snapped out of her daze, her eyes wide. "Gustie. I think they're coming over here! Why are they coming over here?!"
"I'm sure they're not..." I trailed off when I heard numerous names being called.
"Butter Cup!"
"August!"
"Muffin?"
Now I recognize who these boys were. They were the same boys that almost made me die on our first encounters. This was seriously hilarious.
"You know her?" Both Alex and Alec turned to Liam and asked. I can tell their twin acts will get annoying soon. I turned and gave them a small wave.
"Mr Frantic? Big Hands? Alex?" I raised my eyebrows at them. "Hey guys."
They didn't even hesitate to sit with us. They just flopped down, all five of them sandwiching Adri and I. They were two boys that I did not realize, and I guess it was actually nice to meet someone regularly.
"Who are they?" One of the boys I didn't know spoke up.
"This is August. I met her at Walmart. I swept her off her feet." Alec smirked and winked.
"Literally. " I added.
"I almost met in an accident with her." Alex said sheepishly.
"She almost ran me over." Liam added.
