"Dimples!"

"Muffin!"

"Butter Cup!"

"Gustie!"

"August!"

I turn around to see Adri and the guys waving excitedly at me. Of course, Oliver is the only one who haven't given me a nickname as yet. Not that I mind anyways. I'm still not even accustomed to the others yet.

I give a small smile waving back. I walk over to them, and immediately Alec sling his arms over my shoulder like he always does. I am immediately drawn into the conversation they're having.

"Dude, the last time you played was in a year! We should play together again sometime." Alex says.

Zane shrugs. "I don't know man. I don't think I still have it."

"Alec, hold my damn earrings. As a matter of fact hold me. I don't want to fight this idiot." Alex threatens, earning a chuckle from me. I chuckle harder when Alec actually held onto his knapsack.

Liam joins in. "You know how it goes with Zane. As soon as he's in the right head space he could play anything on that guitar. And you too Alec."

"Wait a minute... all of you guys play an instrument?" I ask. That's pretty cool.

"Drums." Liam smiles.

"Piano and guitar." Alec adds.

"Acoustic guitar." Zane says.

"Violin." Oliver and Alex said.

"Woah. That's pretty cool!" Adri smiles, pointing at me. "Gustie plays the piano."

It took me a while to realize that Adri said what she said. My eyes widen considerably and I turn to her with an 'are you crazy?' look.

"That's pretty awesome Muffin. We should play together sometime."

"I don't know Liam... Zane and I are kind of in the same situation here. I haven't played for about a year too..."

I glance up at Zane to see that he was already looking at me. "Why not?"

I shrug. "Reasons."

"Well that's mission number one. We need to get them to play again." Alex states matter-of-factly.

Just then the bell rings signaling the time for us to head to class. We all part into our little groups and went to our classes. It's Zane and I today since we have AP Chemistry together.

"So the piano huh?"

"Yeah. Adri kind of spilled my deepest darkest secret." I joke.

He smiles. "Why haven't you played for so long?"

I knew he was going to ask. I was comfortable with Zane but not this comfortable to tell him that I used to play with my brother.

"Reasons..."

"That you don't want to talk about. I get it. I have my reasons too."

That kind of pique my interest, but it would be selfish if I ask what his reasons were.

The late bell rings just as we find our seats. I sit, immediately taking out my books to write down some notes. I turn to Zane expecting to see him doing the same, but he's just sitting back casually in his seat with his arms crossed over his chest, and his eyes closed.

I nudge him in the side. "Aren't you going to get your book out?"

He open his eyes and turn to me, "I don't need to," Is his reply.
