Huilen laughs at the expression on my face. "Honestly, I thought you would know. Not everyone dates one of the most powerful vampires and doesn't have an idea regarding it."

"Shut up," I whisper. "You must have the wrong man. There is no way Jasper wouldn't tell me something like this."

"How many God's of War do you think there is? There is only one, and that is Jasper Whitlock. Your mate. You can ask any vampire who isn't a newborn and they can tell you the old story's of the Major. Everyone knows his tale," she states. "Everyone is awaiting his return to glory, but legend has it that Jasper locked him away deep inside him so he doesn't take anymore lives. But that may change seeming he has been feasting on humans."

"I don't know if I believe you Huilen. I mean, Jasper is one of the nicest people I know and there is no way he has some alter-ego inside him that wants to destroy the entire world. That is absurd."

"Absurd, maybe, but I will not lie to you Isabella. Your boyfriend has a secret and I am not lying when I tell you what that is."

My brain ticks so fast, and I struggle to keep up with all the thoughts rushing through my mind. Is it actually true? Could Jasper really be the God of War? And if so, why would he hide this from me? Why doesn't he want me to know?

Jasper's Point of View

So today will be Kira's last day as a human before her transition begins. I ponder whilst she sleeps if this is the right thing to do. The Major is already growing stronger with every drop of human blood I drink, and if I were to change a human into a vampire... I cannot even fathom what his response will be to this.

I have lived with the Major inside me for as long as I could remember, unsure if he was a part of my human life, but feeling his spirit resting inside the cage I put him in, makes me grow restless. As much as I miss being powerful, being feared, being unbeaten; I wonder what Isabella will think when she finds out. If she finds out. I obviously cannot keep it from her, but I will try to do that for as long as I can.

Kira begins to stir in her sleep, her body waking up from her nap. I move so I am sitting on the end of the makeshift bed I built, so she could spend her last few days as a human comfortable. When she is fully conscious she looks at me. "Why the long face Sir?"

"I have spent the morning thinking," I sigh. "You know that I have a lot of responsibilities that I must fulfil, and I wonder what that will do to me. If it will change who I am as a person?"

"I'm sure that when all this is over and you're reunited with your mate, you will be the same person you were when you left. Trust me Jasper, you aren't that bad of a person," she smiles assuring me.

"Surely you are frightened though? Because you know that this is going to be your last day being a human? You know what tonight will bring?"

"I know Jasper. After three days, I will be a vampire, like you. But I am not afraid. I don't have a reason to be scared. I have you to look after me and to train me, and that isn't something I am fearful about. If anything, it is something that I am grateful about."

"Why would you be grateful?" I look at the young lady, and listen intently to her words.

"Because I know that I will be granted immortality. I know that I will be powerful like you, and I will be able to help people when all this is over. Not to mention all the people I can meet, all the things I can see. Jasper, this is exciting and I know that you will be there for me through it all."

I lean down and kiss her forehead. "Thank you Kira; your optimism is very refreshing. But for know, I need to begin building the walls and training centre which I will be able to train you and the others in." She nods, before closing her eyes once more.

"Will we be able to go back to the waterhole for a final swim before you change me?" She asks, keeping her eyes open.

"Of course," I smile. "We'll head out this afternoon."

I leave the building, slowly shutting the door behind me, stealing another glance at the young girl. When I chose Kira to be part of my Coven, I knew she would be a valuable member but she has proven me wrong in a way. Not only will she be valuable, but I say she will be a good co-leader. Surely, I am going to have to train her more than the others, and I will have to teach her how to raise an army, but she will be a vital member to my coven.

I head outside and look at the empty land around me. I plan on putting up high walls surrounding us, so we can have a bit of the forest in the training area, but the rest of the forest will be cut off so the newborns will not be able to escape and ruin the plans. Also, as we create more vampires it will be necessary to include more rooms, just for a place to rest. Through the night I managed to find a dam (not the waterhole that Kira loves) where I was able to make wooden pipes and connect running water. So far, the area is bland and plain but once we are able to build more things it will turn out quite fine.

+_+_+

Within the few hours I was given, I was able to nearly complete the fencing. The walls stand at nearly three metres tall and surround the area; creating a nice enclosure for the vampires to be able to train in and still have room for some peace if needed. I walk into the only building built yet, and Kira is sitting on the floor staring at the wooden ceiling.

"Are you ready to go?" I smirk, leaning against the doorway.

It seems like I bring her out of her thoughts as she jumps up and frowns at me. "I am, even though you scared the shit out of me." I laugh and turn around so she is able to change into some swimwear I stole from her room after she requested I get some of her essentials including a bag of clothes, makeup and a small mirror as well as a few photo's of her family so she doesn't fully forget them. "Okay lets go." I walk outside and she smiles at the new enclosure. "You've been busy today."

"I need to make sure that this is mostly done before you have fully transitioned because I need to be able to protect you and train you so you can help me when we begin to bring in new vampires."

"Well, I think it looks good," she laughs, jumping on my back. I hold onto her legs tightly, as she wraps her arms around me neck, burying her face in my back as I begin sprinting. I leap over the wall and she laughs as the wind rushes through our hair.

In no time we arrive at the waterhole, and Kira is quick to dive into the water. The waterhole is deep and has a semi-large cliff to one side of it, which is perfect for jumping off into the water. I quickly dart off the cliff and proceed to swan dive into the water, causing Kira to laugh at me.

We spend a few hours swimming and laughing before the sun begins to set. We are face to face in the water, as the sky begins to turn a pink-orange colour. Kira states deeply into my eyes as she smiles slightly. "Thank you Jasper."

"What for?" I ask.

"For making my last moments as a human so memorable," she looks down into the water. "I am ready."

I move closer to her and wrap my arms around her small body, kissing her forehead. "It will hurt but I will always be close during the transition."

"I trust you Jasper," she smiles kissing my cheek.

I pause for a second, whilst we lock eyes. I lean down slowly, planting another kiss on her forehead before moving my mouth to her neck, where I plant my teeth and begin to eject my venom into Kira.
