The night was long an everyone was shocked at how sudden it was. Finding El again, when Mike was on the verge of losing himself completely. Mike felt his heart race as he looked to see El,standing there just like she did when they first met. It was incredible for them all to see one another again, Mike’s arms beginning to reach out to El she looked to him with a smile an hugged him without hesitation. The words failed him, failed her when they reunited after such a long time of painfully waiting. After holding eachother for awhile Mike an El rose to their feet an Dustin,Lucas an Will hugged them both. “Its good to have you back crazy friend.” Dustin said. “Yeah! We missed you around here.” Lucas softly punched El’s shouder. “Its nice to finally get to meet you El.” Will smiled,pulling her into a hug. El looked at everyone with tears in her eyes,the warmth an safety she felt made her emotions hard to hide but it was seeing Mike again that made it hard to hide anything. “Friends don’t lie” El said. “They don’t,especially true friends like us” He smiled an pulled her close,crying into her shoulder. “I don’t know where you’ve gone…when you disappeared all I could do was blame myself…we missed the snowball El.” He cried. She held him tightly ,crying just as hard. “It’s okay Mike,im not going anywhere.” She sighed a bit relieved. “Promise?” He asked. “Promise” She smiled.
The Basement~
“Hey El,how you holding up?” He asked
“Im okay.” She assured.
“Do you want me to stay down here tonight?” He asked with a bright pink blush growing from cheek to cheek.
“Yeah. I do” She sighed softly.
“O-okay El.” He nodded.
“Okay Mike.” She smiled.
He laid down beside her,pulling the yellow sleeping bag up over their shoulders.
“G-goonight El.” He smiled.
“Goodnight Mike.” She smiled in return.
“I…I really missed you El…I thought you were gone…forever.” He teared up alittle but quickly he wiped his eyes.
“Im here Mike,I had to go for awhile but I did it to protect you. The demogorgan is gone,Will is okay. No more upside down.” She laid her hand on his shoulder. While closing her eyes.
“Goodnight El..” He smiled laying a kiss on her forhead.
He watched as she closed her eyes an peacefully he drifted into slumber along with her.
