My bones stiffen when I roll over; my body feels like I'm going to break into a million pieces. How long will this pain last? I can feel the lightning run through me trying to heal every part of me. This is it, this is everything I've waited for. Yet I don't feel any different just like I got hit by a bus. It's already 12 and I haven't gotten out of bed for the last two days (it's Wednesday), since I told Harry I wasn't going to school. I should have prepared for this, but how was I supposed to know it would hurt this bad? I groan as I feel a crack in my ribs indicating another rib has barley healed.

"Oh hello Harry," My caster hearing has kicked in, it makes my head throb. I push the ability away and pray my mother tells him I'm not in.

I suck in air as I feel the final rib heal. Sweat forms on my forehead and I grip the bed sheets. The stinging in my veins courses through my body. I hear the door close down stairs and I wait for the ringing of the boots against the marble stairs but silence rings instead. I force myself to sit up and I hear my bone crack like forced knuckles. I stand slowly and feel all the power in my finger tips. Closing my eyes I can feel the change.

All the jitters and nerves disappear. I can control my hearing again, this is freaking awesome! I pull on my skinny jeans and loose mid sleeve black shirt, surprised by the new box in the closet I find wedged heel boots. The feeling of wearing high heels for the first time brings two thoughts. Damn I feel tall and holy shit I'm going to face plant to the floor.

I take a deep breath and walk downstairs, when mom sees me she looks like she's going to cry with a smile, Lydia smirks and slowly nods behind her. "Mia." George calls behind me and takes a look at me. "Wow you're glowing darling." I smile at his surprised expression. But the door bell rings and dad warns mom it's her friends. The feeling dies and her face falls as she gives me the look. I just nod and turn to the back door, "Mia wait," she goes to open her mouth again but her impatient friends ring the door bell again.

"Don't keep them waiting." I head out the door and take the ally way. I decide to head to the group I haven't seen since I met Harry. Step by step Harry invades my mind and I find myself smiling like a fool.

I start to enter the darker parts of New York. I turn the last corner and see the old house that holds so many memories. "Hey! Mimi." The familiar voice makes me turn and I see the way too skinny for his jeans, dark headed boy. Vic jumps off his seat and slung his arm over my shoulder. I stop and move his hand.

"Mia bro!" Tony greets me with the guy hand shake and I join them on the hood of the old rusted car.

"Hey, nice shoes." Mike taps on the wedges and I just shrug.

"So what have you been up to we haven't seen you in like 2 weeks, we were beginning to think you bailed on us for those rich kids at school." Jaime pipes in.

(Yes it's the band members of Pierce the Veil easier to know what they look like)

"Hell no I just haven't gotten a chance to come around, I um I've been busy." I know Vic can see through my lie. He turns and sticks his hand in the ice chest.

"If you've been so busy then you have no problem with taking back a cold one." He hands me the aluminum can, the crisp sound lets out the smell of one that brings back horrid memories. I bring the rim to my lips and tilt.

"Mia!" The heart racing voice pulls me away.

"What the hell?" Vic stands and I race off the car and pull him back from walking towards Harry. "Who the fuck it that?" Vic harshly growls.

"No one, I-I'll take cake of it." she stops walking and I race to Harry surprised I can run in these stupid shoes.

"Harry what are you doing here? You need to leave."
