The Prince of the Ocean - The Forbidden Romance

Chapter 11

"So you're telling me , you did all that and never disclosed this information to me ? "

Bruilo just found out about my past meetings with the fair maiden , who still refuses to revel her name . I did mention before , I didn't want to reveal anyone my secret but unfortunately Bruilo found out and demanded me to tell . He was begging me to tell him and asking various questions too quickly before I could form a solid lie .

All I could to was finally admit the truth . Otherwise , he would have driven me to the point of insanity . Which was very much possible as Bruilo has rare abilities . He is very proud of this ability though I don't have the slightest idea how he could apply this ability in any real life situation . 

I tried making him understand but he closed the conversation saying that I was jealous . To be honest , I am very proud that I don't have his strange ability . Now he would probably bring this topic again and annoy me . No matter how annoying he might seem ,he is still my best friend .

It was about to be dawn and we both had to get back to our respective locations . He left me near the Palace but requested me to be present  in our secret location today . He also warned me that I wasn't off the hook yet .

I decided to keep the threat in mind and surprisingly , I was early . 

My bed was so warm and looked so cold and empty , I decided to grace it with my presence . To most Gods , Ambrosia and Nectar is the source of their godly power but for me , it's my bed . I usually get sufficient power from the Ocean itself .

Unlike Mortals , Godly Dreams allow us to explore places without actually venturing there . We could also achieve a peace of mind and recollect our thoughts .It is a sort of relaxation from our busy , dutiful lives .

Certain Gods can achieve this only sleeping for few hours but others need longer time . For me it's variable and depends on certain conditions which needs to be fulfilled to endure this .

It's often said Older Gods don't get dreams , unless there is a bad omen . It's such a pity they can't do certain small activities which the younger Gods have acquired .

After my slumber , I went to greet my mother in the morning . For some odd reason, she seemed immensely happy . Which was pretty rare seeming my father did nothing to please her .

" Triton , I see you are awake . Remember my advises shall help you in your future . I was on my way preparing to meet my sister , when I found a rare plant growing in my garden . I have heard about its magical properties , I am very pleased . I never thought that my garden had the right conditions for it to grow . "

"That's great mother , I am happy for your great discovery ", I truly have no interest to hear about it  ,but just for her sake I pretended that I was keenly interested .

One thing I have learned about living in an immortal family is no matter how boring the talks get or how angry we feel at our family . We must always go with the flow . It is the key for living a better immortal life .
