The Prince of the Ocean - The Forbidden Romance

Chapter 25

I swam as quick as I could , I was frightened I couldn't decide how I could reach her . Then , I recalled a way from which I could possibly to reach her . I had often heard it is the easiest way to reach the Deep End .  It was the most dangerous way , but I had no other option other . I must reach her , no matter what .

" I must take the Passage of Corals " , I said to Bruilo and Naiyah . They looked at me with wide eyes . " But Trodin , it's very dangerous . You can't go there , it's very risky " , Bruilo tried to convince me but I payed no heed . 

Naiyah joined him ," For once , please listen to Bruilo . I know you want to save her but there must be any other way . "

" No , I fear this is the only way . I must venture alone . I can't risk losing any more lives . Please you and I both know this is the easiest and quickest way to reach there " , I tried convincing them .

They had a private conversation  and they came towards me . Bruilo put his hand on my shoulder ," Alright you can go but please be careful , we don't want you to get injured . "

I nodded , " I must be going . I shall return as soon as possible . "

The Passage of Corals wasn't pleasant as it sounds , it was quite the opposite . It was a passage filled fire corals , if they sting you it burns badly . One must be very careful swimming through them . Most mermans and mermaids avoid this wretched trail in fear of being stung .

I soon found the entrance and proceeded swimming through it . I concentrated on making a swirling barrier around myself . I figured if I did this , the coral wouldn't be able to harm me . In case I touched the coral with my tail . I didn't take my normal form as it would make me more prone to be injured by the fire corals .

I ventured into the tunnel , it was beautiful but I knew it was also equally deadly . I think it was relatively easy for me as the barrier protected me . 

I am worried about Callista , maybe who I met yesterday was a god in disguise . Wanting to cure Callista ? Perhaps that could be the case but I must check to be certain .

I was so lost in thought , I almost hit one of the corals by accident and the barrier had momentarily abandoned me . Luckily , I had noticed and withdrew my tail and the barrier returned .

Another time , a school of yellowtail damselfish passed by me . They swam so fast , I lost my concentration and almost hit the corals . I used the water to soften my impact and thus I did not get stung by the fire coral .

Fire coral are known to be brittle , so I didn't making my barrier swirl relatively fast but instead I made it swirl at a normal speed . So, I can protect myself and not damage the coral .

I finally came to the end of the passage , I was in an unknown location . I swam around and I couldn't find her home . But eventually I found the path which led me to meet her in the first place . 

I didn't have time to cherish these memories , I had to reach her home . As soon as I found her home , I swam inside without thinking twice . I was hoping to find Callista but instead I found the false Naiyah smiling at me cruelly .

" Where is Callista ? ", I asked angrily .

" Ah , Young love . So beautiful , I feel like crying " , She said mockingly .

" Where is she ? ", I demanded . She is making me lose my patience .

She smiled cruelly , " Lord Oceanus has help her captivate , find her if you can ." 

Before I could do anything , she left the place in a cloud of smoke leaving me alone in the dark .

I couldn't believe it .Because of me , Callista was captured by my father's greatest enemy , Oceanus .

 I felt like shattering into million pieces . But I promised one thing to myself , I would find her no matter what it takes .
