I figured that maybe Metropolis wasn't too bad, I mean Jerome and I were pretty good at finding our own ways to have fun. We'd terrorized nearly the whole city, Metropolis didn't have a Jim Gordon which meant that we could do whatever we liked without getting thrown into Arkham.

"Where to next hm? Ooh we could go and shoot up their little newspaper place, what's it called again?" Jerome was fiddling with something staring at the ceiling of our hotel room.

"Daily Planet?" I hummed in response. "Such a stupid name for a newspaper company, Gotham Gazette rolls off the tongue much smoother."

"Are you jealous because you think they are doing better than you?" He mocked and I threw the hair brush I'd been using at him.

"Not after we shoot it up." I grumbled in response.

"You mean after I shoot it up? You're too chicken to shoot anything." He accused me in his usual taunting tone to which I gave him the middle finger.

"Not everyone was born insane some of us need a little extra help." He pulled me onto his lap and pressed his lips to my neck and I could feel his smirk.

"Well you've come to the right place! I mean who better to teach insanity than the insane?" I turned to face him with a small smile.

"You want to teach me how to be crazy?" I questioned with a laugh but I don't think he was joking.

"Duh! We can start today at the Daily Planet! We can be the same kind of crazy ya know? It'll be so much fun and you can be like a super cool badass killer." His hand gestures were so big that I got hit in the face.

"Ouch!" I slapped his hand away from my face and he only chuckled, not bothering to apologize. "Is that how you see yourself? A super cool badass killer?"

"Isn't that how you see me?" I leaned in so our foreheads were almost touching.

"Oh honey." I pressed my lips to his. "Absolutely not." He tightened his arms around my waist and flipping us over so he was straddled on top of me his fingers jabbing into my sides. I jerked away, my face bright red in laughter. "Jerome! Please stop!" I gasp out between cackles.

"Not until you tell me that I'm a super cool badass killer!" He bargained but I shook my head, only provoking him further. "Say it!"

"Ok, ok, You're a super cool badass killer!" I giggled out, not having any choice but to cave in. He immediately stopped tickling me and I was left panting as he stood up, a proud and egotistical smirk adorning his face.

"Aw thanks you shouldn't have." I glared at him playfully and got up from the bed, messing up his 'perfectly styled' ginger locks to which he looked ready to kill. "Kat you did not just-"

"What are you gonna do about it?" He chased me out of the bedroom and into the main area of the hotel room. We were both already changed and ready so we really only needed to get our guns and leave.

"Katerina if you weren't my girlfriend I swear I would have stabbed you by now." He grumbled and I laughed playfully at him. He fixed his hair and we made our way down to the lobby. We put our sunglasses on and linked arms as I shot the receptionist a cheeky wink, to which Jerome gripped my arm tighter.

He drove just like yesterday,  this time paying no attention to the road rules and speeding down the weaving roads of Metropolis in search of the newspaper company that had been beating Gotham Gazette in profits for the past three years. Not anymore.
