While George was laying on the bed in Jonathan's house, he was fighting for his life. He couldn't move, talk or anything. He laid motionless as his family were by his side. "Jack," George's mother said as she looked to her husband. "Why us?" "I don't know Jane. He can't leave us. I need to spend more time with him."

Jonathan was in the room with Mike as it was still dark outside. "Jack?" Jonathan asked. "Shall we wake Bethany up and let her know what's happening?" "Yeah. She has to know." The two brothers left the room and went to wake Bethany up to tell her some bad news.

"What? No. I have to see him." "Bethany, there's nothing we can do for him." "He's my brother. He can't die." "There's nothing we can do Bethany. We're sorry." Her parents heard her approach the room. "Is it true?" "Bethany," "Who did this to him?" "Sweetheart-" "No. He can't leave us. I'm staying with him." "No. All we want you to do is carry on with your life like normal." "I can't. I won't." "Sleep." "What are you-" her eyes closed as she collapsed and Mike caught her.

"I'm so sorry Bethany. Mike, could you please take her to bed and get some warriors to stay with her? Tell them they have my permission to make her sleep. Just until we know what's happening with my son." He nodded as he carried his friend to her room in Jonathan's house and gently placed her on the bed and covered her up. He then left the room and saw some warriors. "Jack wants some warriors with her and that he's given you permission to make her sleep if she seems over upset." They all nodded as two of them went into the room to watch her.

Mike then went downstairs and saw his parents on the sofa with Colin and Daisy. "What's wrong with George?" Colin asked curiously. "He fell asleep near the house, so he'll be staying here tonight," Mike's father lied. They nodded as they were told to go upstairs to bed. They did as they were told as Jonathan approached them and took them upstairs to bed.

"I think the rest of us should get some sleep. It's been a long day." Mike yawned and his parents told him to get some rest, but he said he'd stay awake in case he was needed during the night. His eyes then began to droop close. "Jake." "I've got it Grace. He's just exhausted." He stood up and walked towards his son and held him as he then began to fall towards him. "I've got you Mike. Try and get some sleep. It's been a very hard day for everyone today." He then carried his son to his room and put him to bed before going back downstairs to his wife.

"He's in bed, fast asleep." "Good. He doesn't need all of this pressure." "I hope Jonah will keep his stress levels down."

At four o'clock in the morning, Mike was stirring in his sleep and his brother sensed it. "No. Get away from him." "Mike?" "Last chance Rosie." He sat on his brother's bed and listened. "No. I've let him down." "Hey. You haven't let him down. It wasn't your fault." He then heard his little brother cry. "Hey. Don't be upset. You're not to blame. It was Rosie." Mike then opened his eyes. "Hi." "Jonathan?" "I sensed you stirring in your sleep, so I thought I'd check on you and then you were talking in your sleep. Don't apologise either. We all had a rough few months. We just have to find a way to help our friend." "Jonathan, I'm scared. And I'm never scared."

Jonathan felt for his brother. He was very worried about him. "Is Jonah feeling how you feel?" He nodded. "He's trying to talk to Hunter, but... there's nothing. How is he anyway?" "I haven't checked, but I'll go and come back to tell you." Mike nodded as he watched his brother leave the room.

George's father turned to face the door as he heard the handle move. "Hi Jack." "Hi Jonathan." "How is he?" "He's the same. I just wish there was something I could do. I need to know more about him. I need to see him grow up and become a parent. Watch him have kids, his own pups. I need him, here." "Jack. Go and get some sleep. It was a hard day yesterday." "I told you. I'm not sleeping until I know what we can do." "Please. Bethany doesn't want you to act bad. She'll think she's done something wrong." He then sighed.
