Chapter 6

George was hanging out with everyone at the pack house once they took Alpha Carson and his pack members bodies out of the house and cleaned up the mess. "So, what's our next motive alpha?" Steven asked. "Patrol our border. Make sure it's secure." "Yes alpha." The warriors left and went to check to make sure the area was safe, leaving at least two warriors to stay at the house to protect their alpha.

"I think I'll visit Claire and see how she's doing from yesterday." Tristan and Steven were the two warriors that stayed with him and George suddenly asked, "Tristan, could you please stay here and keep an eye on things while Steven and I visit my cousin?" "Of course, alpha." George then left the pack house with Steven and went to visit his uncle and cousins.

By the time he arrived at his uncle's house, he saw Christian walking out of the house with his mother. He walked towards them and Christian immediately saw him.

They walked towards each other when Claire suddenly walked out of the front door with her father. She saw her brother and mother with George. "You stay here. I'll bring them over here alright?" She nodded and remained standing by the door.

She saw her parents; cousin and his warrior approach her. She hugged her cousin when he suddenly asked, "how are you feeling from yesterday?" "Better. Thanks." "I see your mum is here for a while." "Yeah. She's on a break, so she thought it would be good to come and stay with us for a while." "Good." "Did you have a meeting with Alpha Carson?" "I did and now he's dead. He attacked us. It was a trap." She gasped. "How could he do that during an agreement meeting?" "Don't worry about it. We're all fine. Travis helped. He came over, even though he still needs time off after what happened to his sister."

It was almost time to have dinner at five o'clock that afternoon and George invited everyone over to the pack house.

By the time everyone was at the pack house, Kira made everyone something to eat. "Here we are George. Medium rare. Just how you like it." "Thank you." "Claire?" "I'd like medium please."

Once everyone had their dinner, George and Kira thanked those who fought with George for their help and she then thanked everyone for being at the house for dinner. Everyone thanked her when George and Kira then made their way home.

Five minutes into the drive home, George quickly looked at Kira before focusing on the road again. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. I'm just glad you're safe after the fight." "So why don't we do what we discussed earlier?" He smiled and said, "let's go."

By the time they were ready for bed, George and Kira then got into bed. "This is my first time," George admitted. "It's mine too. Let's just take it nice and slow. There's no rush." "Agreed." They kissed before they did what they had to do.

After half an hour, George and Kira were laid down panting after the fun that they had. "That was...wow," George said out of breath. "I know. Now we wait until morning. Are you sure you're ready to be a dad?" "Well...I'm nervous, but that's normal. Right?" "Of course, it's normal to feel nervous. Don't be scared." "I'll try not to be. For your sake." She smiled as she then snuggled up to him and they both closed their eyes and fell asleep.

Kira woke up at four o'clock in the morning and saw that George was turning around to face away from her. "Are you awake?" she gently asked. He let out a quiet snore and that was her answer. "Fine. You get some sleep." She got out of bed and went to the kitchen. "Why am I so hungry?" she whispered to herself. She suddenly felt something. "Ow." She then went upstairs and back into the bedroom where she suddenly saw her mate tossing and turning.

"George?" she quietly asked in case he was asleep. "Hey." She walked towards him and sat by his side on the bed. "You're just having a bad dream. Try and relax." When he suddenly relaxed, he opened his eyes and saw Kira holding her stomach. "What's wrong?" "I think I'm pregnant. I'm feeling really hungry." "Craving?" "Yeah." "Our pup. Our first pup." "Yeah," she gasped. He sat up and gave her a gentle hug. "Starting in the morning, I'll start looking for a job. We're going to need the money." "Let's look now. I'll look with you. I want to help as well." "I'd wait until you've had the pup before you look for work." "No. We need the money." They looked around and George applied for many things online. Once they finished an hour later, Kira spoke. "Let's tell your parents the good news." "Let's go."
