Chapter 16

Kira knelt beside George and took his left hand with her right hand and tried to sense him. 'I'm here Kira.' "What happened?" 'He saw something.' "Can you wake him up?" 'I'm trying my best.' That's when he suddenly opened his eyes. "Hey. Take it easy." All of the warriors entered the room and saw their alpha on the floor. Steven helped him up and helped his alpha to the bedroom. Kira followed and saw Steven place him on the bed. "Thanks. I'll take it from here." He nodded as well as the others and left the room.

Kira went to the chest of draws that was against the wall across from the bed and grabbed her mate a pair of underwear. "Here. Put these on." 'Thanks Kira. He appreciates it.' She smiled and put her mate's underwear on for him. "There we go. Now just relax and rest up." She then got back into bed beside her mate and rested her head on his shoulder, closed her eyes and fell asleep and George suddenly began to dream.

Within the dream...

George was suddenly surrounded by many wolves when his family came to his rescue. His mother was on the ground and he suddenly looked at her with a sad expression on his face. That's when he leaped into action to help save her with his family. Claire's white wolf, Alison was about to be attacked when Christian's white and grey wolf suddenly blocked the wolf from attacking his sister. She looked at him when George was suddenly looking at his father. He was tackled to the ground. "Dad, no." He ran towards him and tried to help him, but by the time he got to his father, it was too late.

When the dream ended at six o'clock in the morning, Kira was holding George's shoulder. "Hey. You were just dreaming. Do you want talk about it?" "We were in a battle. Mum was hurt and dad was struck to the ground. When I got to him...it was too late." He then looked sad. "It was just a dream. You'll see him in the car later." "Yeah. He's fine. It was just a dream." She nodded and rubbed her hand up and down his arm. "The dream is over and everyone is safe." He then nodded and got out of bed.

Bethany was ready for college and was sitting on the sofa. She didn't sleep well the night before and decided to go to the living room, turn the lamp on and read a book to pass the time before getting changed. Her parents descended from the stairs and entered the living room to find their daughter awake and on the sofa. "Bethany?" her father gently asked. "Yeah?" "How long have you been up?" "A while." The two parents sat next to her and hugged her. "Well Bethany, we'll have something to eat and I'll take you to college with your brother so I can take him to work." She thanked him and hugged him before going into the kitchen with her parents.

Once Bethany was at college and George was at work, their father drove to work and was on time. "Good morning Jack." "Good morning sir." "Straight to work today. It's already busy." He nodded before going straight to work.

George was serving customers around the store as it was extremely busy. He never saw the store as full as it was during to the other times he worked in the morning. "Excuse me?" a female customer asked. "Yes. How can I help?" "Could you please tell me where I can find some USB sticks please?" "Of course. You just go straight ahead," he said as he pointed in the right direction. "Then go to the left and they will be on the shelves to your right." "Thank you." Jacob then approached him and said, "you're doing well considering that we're really busy." "Has it ever been this busy before?" "Not unless its black Friday."

George's mother was at her son's house with Kira and they decided to go for a walk together. They walked out into the sunshine and walked towards the woods where they bumped into Mike. "Hi Mike," Kira greeted. "Hi. What are you doing here?" "We could ask you the same." "I just came for a walk and I decided to come here for a while." "How are the kids?" "They're fine. Would you like to come to Jonathan's house with me and help us around the house?" "Sure. What needs to be done?" "We're making things better so the kids have plenty of room to run around." "That, I can help with."
