A warrior mind linked their alpha and apologised for waking him up, and that there was an intruder in the kitchen. George got out of bed and carefully made his way downstairs with the crutches. "Alpha," Steven said to him. "Where's the intruder?" "The kitchen." He walked slowly as his alpha was using the crutches.

Once in the kitchen, George saw the stranger sat on a chair at the table. "I apologise for the mess. It's not what it looks like." "I think you need to explain why you broke into my home." "My sister. Please. I tried to help her. I didn't harm her." "Where is she?" "Follow me." He followed the strange man out of the house with some warriors behind him to make sure he was protected and safe.

"She's over there," the man said as he pointed in the direction to where his sister was. George suddenly saw a female figure on the ground. He couldn't kneel down to help because of the crutches, but the warriors did their best to help the woman. "It's a deep wound. She needs to go to the hospital," one of the warriors said. "Get her up and take her to the house." "Yes alpha." He looked to the man and asked, "what's your name?" "Calum." "Well Calum, I'm so sorry about what happened to your sister. I don't know what I'd do if anyone should attack my sister." "Thank you." "My friends will look at her carefully and look after her for you." "Thank you." "Now follow me back to the house and we'll check on your sister." He nodded and suddenly asked, "if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your foot?"

George didn't know the man, but after seeing the state of his sister, he told him the truth. "I was shot in the foot at work to save my managers life because he has a baby." "You're a brave man." "Thanks."

By the time they were at the house, George and Calum were in the living room where they saw Calum's sister being treated by the warriors. "We got her stable for you." Calum nodded and thanked them before sitting on the floor next to his sister and holding her hand. "Hey." She quietly replied, "hey." "How are you feeling?" "A little bit better."

Ten minutes and the ambulance arrived at the house. "Where is the patient?" one of the paramedics asked. "On the sofa," Kira replied so George could try and take it easy. The paramedic then looked at George's foot and asked, "what happened to your foot?" "I was shot while I was at work. I went to the hospital as soon as the paramedics arrived." "Good. Now let's take a look at this young lady."

Once Calum's sister was examined and taken into the ambulance, George and Kira were alone in the house again. "Now what?" Kira asked as she stared at her mate. "Anything you want." They sat on the sofa and George said, "everyone come here for a moment." When everyone entered the living room, their alpha said, "we're going to watch a film and we're inviting you all to watch with us." "What kind of film alpha?" Steven asked. "A romance film." Those with mates were happy to watch the film, but the single male werewolves decided to keep an eye on the doors and windows.

After an hour, Kira was asleep with her head on her mate's chest. He looked down to look at her to see where her head was resting. He smiled and continued to watch the film until it finished.

When the film finished half an hour later, George felt Kira stir on his chest and felt her right arm rest on his chest as well. He smiled again and told everyone not to disturb her. They all nodded and left a couple of warriors with them. "So, what do you want to do tomorrow?" Kira asked her mate. "All I want, is to be with you and my family when they come over." She remained in her place on the sofa and fell asleep while George kept his arm around her and watched her before falling asleep.

The two woke up before George's family visited him and Kira for dinner. "Hi everyone," Kira greeted. Bethany hugged her and George suddenly made his way down the stairs. "George," his sister said the moment she saw him. She helped him down the stairs and hugged him gently.
