Chapter 11

Christian was still alone with Will on the sofa. "What are we going to do?" "Don't worry Will. You're safe with me." He nodded and watched Christian once he turned his head away from him. Will then asked, "can I have something to eat?" He looked at the young boy again and saw him suddenly lunge at him. "Will. Stop this now," he said forcefully. The young boy was unsurprisingly strong for his age, but Christian managed to overpower the young boy and made him sleep.

Christian then carefully lifted Will into his arms and gently laid him on the sofa. The front door suddenly burst opened and revealed his father. "Christian?" "I'm fine dad." He breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're safe." "Yeah, I'm fine." "Did he hurt you?" "No. I'm fine." "If your mother found out about this, she'd kill me." "How's Claire?" he asked as he decided to change the subject. "She's doing really well." "That boy is a threat. His sister found a needle and stuck it in George's leg. He's in the hospital." "You can go back to the hospital to Claire. I'll be fine with him." "Are you sure son?" he gently asked as he gently placed his hand on his sons' shoulder. "I'm sure. I can handle him. Just keep me updated. I'll call mum." "Whatever you want to do son...do it." "Thank you, dad." He nodded as he then made his way back to the hospital.

Claire slowly opened her eyes to see a nurse by her side as she was in a hospital bed with wires attached to her left arm. "Hi there miss Stevens. You gave your dad and brother a fright." "What happened?" "You had one of your seizures and when it stopped and a couple of minutes passed, you had repetitive seizures that were quite violent." "Where are they?" "Your brother is at home with your dad. He went home to check on him." She closed her eyes and opened them again as she took in a deep breath. "Can you please call my dad?" "Of course. You just relax. The doctor will be here in a moment." She gently nodded and closed her eyes again.

Two minutes passed when the doctor walked towards Claire. "She's just relaxing doctor." "Of course. Hello there miss Stevens. How are you feeling?" "Sore." "We're not surprised with the amount of seizures you had. We examined you once we managed to keep your epilepsy under control. We have decided to give you a stronger dosage on your medication." She nodded and listened to what he had to say. "We've contacted your dad and he's on his way."

Half an hour passed when Claire saw her father. "Oh Claire." "Dad." He walked towards her and carefully hugged her. "How are you feeling?" "I'm still feeling sore." "You will for a little while. Your muscles really locked up." "How's Christian?" "He's fine. He'll be over later. On another note, George is here as well." "What happened?" "It's a long story. I'll tell you later. You just focus on relaxing and getting some rest." She closed her eyes again and began to get some rest.

George looked around the hospital ward he was in and saw that his father was still next to him. "I'm here." "Where's Kira?" "She's still at the house. She still wants to be alone. Tristan and Zander are here to see you as well." "Tell them to come in." He left the ward and shortly returned with the two warriors. "Hi alpha. How are you feeling?" "Better. I want to know what that kid injected me with." "Where is it?" "The woods." Zander mind linked Jonathan to find it and examine it to find out what was inside. "He's going to take a look for you." He nodded and thanked them for what they had done.

Tristan and Zander then left their alpha with his father. "I'm really sorry dad." "It wasn't your fault." "I just wanted to help." "And I'm glad you wanted to help." "I want to see Claire." His father then tried to contact Christian using the link and saw that his niece was asleep. "She's asleep now. Let her sleep." "Yeah. It would be for the best." His father took his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Remember that I'm proud of you. Especially with looking after your mum while I was away for nearly nineteen years." "You know I'd look after her." "I know. You've done really well." "Thanks dad."
