9•* Do I Owe Klaus Something?

One person has been very happy since the day I became this species. Augustina told me that our species was called the 'genephorbes'. Quite a complicated name though! I had so many super powers now . I could compel the original vampires!

All this was so much fun until Niklaus (Nik) realised that I could compel them . He daggered Kol and Finn with white oak powder and after he woke them up , he pestered me to compel them to forget everything. This was a bit of a torture if you ask me .

At times Austie used to ask me the reasons as to why I was listening to Nik . I used to reply an ' I don't know ' not even meaning it.

A complete century has passed by us . I still cannot believe that I'm immortal.

Yesterday was the worst day of my life . Nik and his siblings were running from Mikael . But he didn't want his elder brother to be interfering time and again so he asked me to compel him to forget what's going on and he stabbed him with the same dagger . He told me that he'll wake Finn up when the correct time comes.

Long back Esther died . No one knows how . But Nik explains it to be consumption.

I question myself sometimes 'Do I owe Niklaus something?'
But I fail to get answers to my question.

Technically I was made to protect the nature from supernaturals , but if we failed to do that nature has its own ways of punishing us . Every Human that is hurt by a supernatural passes through me unintentionally and I suffer the entire pain that they have suffered.

My work was simple. If I see any human hurt or any supernatural too ,I had to take two drops of that person's blood . One to drink and heal him by giving him my blood . And the other drop was to heal my own wound.

I never took pains to read my grimoire. Austie used to read it and explain me the important spells even though she had vampire powers which she had chosen.

I used to think that it is because of her curiosity that she read it the whole day!
