Hannie - falling for my bestfriend

Chapter 1

-2011- Hayden and Annie are both 6

"I'm gonna get you Annie!" Hayden says chasing Annie. "You'll never catch me! I'm unstoppable!" Annie replies laughing. The two kids continued to run around in circles chasing each other in the small backyard.

Katie and billy sat on a table outside watching Hayden and Annie run around. Hayden's family live down the street so Hayden is always at Annie's house.

"Billy I'm gonna make a bet." Katie says out of the blue. "Ok, go on." Billy replies. "These two will end up with each other one day." Katie says smiling and nodding. "Well I'm not gonna lie but I do see it happening in the future." Billy says agreeing with Katie. "Their friendship is so adorable." Katie says to continue the conversation. "Or do you think they are just going to stay friends their whole-" Katie cuts Billy off. "Nope Hayden and Annie will end up with each other."
Both billy and Katie start to laugh then continue to watch the two kids play.

"Hayden want to go down onto the thingy that's above the water?" (Wharf) Annie asks Hayden pointing towards the river. "Sure." Hayden replies.

The two kids walk down to the wharf and sit at the edge dangling their legs. "Hayden do you think we are going to be best friends forever?" Annie asks looking down at her feet. "Yeah! Nothing will ever stop us from being best friends!" Hayden says confidently. "Ok good.. because I don't ever want to lose you." Annie is now hugging Hayden. "I never want to lose you either." Hayden says hugging her back.

They both just sit there in silence, acknowledging the peacefulness. The silence is broken when Hayden kisses Annie on the cheek. "What was that for?" Annie asks looking at Hayden. "I don't know. I saw someone do it on a movie and I wanted to try it." Hayden says shrugging his shoulders then laughing. "Ok." Annie replies. "And guess what." Hayden says whispering into Annie's ear. "What?" Annie whispers back. "In the movie... they even ended up kissing on the lips!" Hayden says making a grossed out face. "EWWWWW!!" Annie says loudly. They both start laughing.

"Hayden! It's time for you to go back to your house now." Katie yells out. "Ok.. bye Annie see you tomorrow." Hayden gets up and starts walking over to Katie and billy. "Wait Hayden!" Annie calls out. "Yeah?" Hayden responds.
Annie walks up to Hayden and kisses him on the cheek. "What was that for?" Hayden says putting his hand in his cheek. "I don't know just wanted to try it." Annie said than ran off laughing. "You're a funny one Annie." Hayden says loud enough for Annie to hear. "And your a weird one Hayden." Annie now starts to laugh even harder.

"Yep, I definitely see them ending up together." Katie says looking at billy. "Yeah, me too."

Ok so that was the first chapter and it was very simple. Don't worry it'll get better once They got older in the story.. Every chapter Annie and Hayden will get older and it'll continue on from there.
And btw Annie is a single child in this story.
