Gerard's P.O.V:

Frank shook me awake by nightfall and he was holding Cerberus in his hands, apparently Ray has brought him back a couple of hours ago but Frank had let me sleep in for a while. I've never been so in love.

I excused myself shortly after and told him I'm going to meet up with Brendon to see how things are looking. I lied. Well, partially. I was practically meeting up with Brendon, just not too see how things are looking exactly. We were looking for houses.

"Really, Way?" Brendon raised a-not-so-amused eyebrow at me. "You've really dragged my ass in the middle of the night out here just so you can look up houses for your boyfriend and yourself?" he was clearly unhappy about that.

"C'mon Brendon, It's a really small favour to ask, I've never done this before, help me out man!" I begged pathetically.

"Ugh, you kids and your love lives and wars." He rolled his eyes dramatically.

"Asshole." I shoved him playfully "But I really do appreciate your help though." I added. He just smirked in reply.

I wanted it to be a surprise for him, I loved seeing how excited he got over small things and I wanted even more to see how excited he'd be over a thing like this. Aside from the war and our potential demise, I really am looking forward for a normal life, as far as normal gets, with him. This somewhat still feels like it's too good to be true.

Between all the houses me and Brendon observed, only one that really stuck in my head. It was the cliché choice for a white couple in a horror movie, it was isolated for a starter, just woods and nothingness surrounding it. It was all black, literally the house's heavy stone walls were painted all black. It had an old rusty gate that creaked if you did as much as touch it. There was also this giant tree that I'm 99.9% sure Frank'll turn it into a swing set, just maybe after we remove a couple of ghosts from the house, I'm positive Cerberus will be more than pleased to help with that.

"Um, Gerard?" Brendon asked nervously.

"Yeah?" I turned around to face him, he looked really unnerved.

"You sure about this place?" I just raised a questioning eyebrow "Seriously dude, there's an angry ghost glaring daggers at us right this instant." His voice dropped to a whisper nodding his head back at a corner. I looked over and saw a shadow looming in the corner, not moving but definitely had a threatening halo.

"So?" I asked a bit too nonchalantly, cue to lights flickering.

"SO?" Brendon whisper-shouted "You know most normal people when they see ghosts they flee and never look behind, Gerard!" he was really pissed by now.

"But I'm not normal people." I said smugly, cue thunder sounds. I rolled my eyes at the shadowy part at the wall.

"Gerard!" Brendon hissed. "Stop making the ghost angry!" he chided.

"What? I'm not making anything ang- HOLY FUCK!" I almost jumped onto Brendon. The shadow seemed to form into a girl with hollow eyes and it lunged at me going through my body. Like a ghost is not bad enough, it has to be a hormonal teenage girl too!

"SEE?!" Brendon was fully freaking out right now.

"Dude, fucking chill will you? You're a Goddamn vampire, she could try to kill you all night but you're already dead!" I scolded back. Cue for moaning and ghosty sounds. "Fuck off, I'm having a conversation here!" I snapped at the ghost, probably bad idea.

I felt hot pain as something sharp penetrated my back. I winced badly as I pulled out a fucking knife out of my shoulder. That bitch had an attitude problem, she's even more aggressive than Frank!
