"NO STOP PLEASE!" I scream out in agony, my ribs held a burning sensation that made me arch my back and scream.

"No it's okay Cece, it's okay!' Charlie says, hugging me closely and he grabs a handful of my hair and keeps me close to his chest. I couldn't move, it's as if I were paralyzed. I knew I just had a night terror, but I didn't know what had happened during. Why was my ribs burning?

"Charlie stop it hurts." I cry out, his strong hold crushed my ribs causing me to clench my jaw.

"What hurts?" Charlie asks in worry.

"My ribs, Charlie I can't move." I cry silently, a lone tear falling down my already damp cheeks.

"Okay lets get you to the hospital." Charlie says, grabbing my body and holding me bridal style.

I noticed we were in the hallway, I don't understand where my parents went, probably a buisness meeting or something. It honestly didn't surprise me that Charlie slept over, I knew that he doesn't want me home alone.

It sucks waking up in a night terror, alone.

Trust me it's happened before.

"W-What happened?" I blubber as Charlie starts his Jeep and gets on the road.

"Well I heard you screaming so I went to go get you, I saw you running out of your bedroom and down the hallway before you could go anywhere else you fell to the floor as if you were hit by someone. So I pinned you down and waited till you woke up." Charlie explained to me before he hit a red light.

"Ugh, it's gonna take forever!" I groan, clutching my burning rib.

"No it won't Cece, we're almost there!" Charlie says, trying to cheer me up but it did nothing. I'm thankful he tried though.

Soon the light turned green and Charlie started driving towards the hospital. He pulled up to the emergency room and rushed me in, my ribs were hurting more and more by the second. I wince slightly as Charlie picks me up and runs in.

"I need a doctor, now!" Charlie says to the woman at the desk, she looks up from her phone with wide eyes.

"Hello?!" Charlie says, slightly irritated.

I'm sitting here with a possible broken rib, crying and she just sits there doing nothing? I think she needs a reality slap, anyone?

"U-Uh, yes sir!" She stutters, calling up the doctor who soon comes out and brings me to a room.

"Okay, lift your shirt up." The doctor instructs, I could see Charlie visibly stiffen but I ignored it and lifted my shirt up so I only exposed my stomach.

"Tell me if this hurts." He says and lays his hands on my ribs, instantly I cry out in pain. The burning sensation multiplied, the pain ate up my attention and I focused on nothing else. It hurt like a son of a gun.

"She has a broken rib." The doctor tells Charlie, he sighs and nods, looking at me sympathetically.

"So... No school?" I ask in fear.

"No school for a couple weeks until it heals." The doctor nods.

"No! I have my final exams this week! I can't miss them! I can't!" I yell, ignoring the pain and stood up.

"I'm sorry miss but you can't go to school. Here's some medication for the pain, keep an ice pack on your ribs." The doctor smiles as if this was normal. Well, it probably is for him. He is a doctor after all, I have only broken a bone once in my life. And that was from a night terror, now I broke my ribs and that was also from a night terror. Yay life.

"Screw you doctor." I scoff, grabbing the medication and limping out of the room. He doesn't understand, I have my final exams and I can't miss them, especially if I want to be a vet when I'm older. My grades suck right now anyways, I need to finish school.

"Grace! Wait!" Charlie says, he runs up to me and helps me to the car.

"I'm sorry this happened. Maybe if I-"

"No Charlie, it wasn't your fault." I sigh as he lays me down in the backseat.

Once we got back home I took two pills, ignoring what the instructions said on the back. I couldn't care less at the moment.

"Goodnight." I grumble, walking up to my room and lying stiffly on my bed. I could feel a lone tear run down my cheek, instantly i knew exactly what I needed. I needed those pills that helped with night terrors, I don't care if they make me depressed or if they make me more tired, I'm done with it.

I let my eyes close and soon I fall into a deep slumber.

-

I let out a groggy yawn as a sit up, "Ouch!" I yell, clutching my stomach. Suddenly all the memories started flooding back. My ribs are broken, I'm not allowed to go to school but I don't care, I'm going.

I stand up take a quick shower, being careful with my ribs and brushing my teeth. I throw my hair up in a messy bun, splash my face with some water and walk over to my closet.

Suddenly I heard a knock on my door, guessing it was Charlie I opened the door; I was right.

"Hey Charlie."

"Hey, I know you aren't gonna listen to the doctor so I'm guessing you're going to school. Just remember, the football game is today and I got detention. So we're gonna have to stay at school until the game starts." Charlie says, staring down at his phone.

"Uh, okay. How'd you get detention?" I ask, leaning against the door frame with my arms crossed.

"Uh, well, you see, I might have punched someone in our history class." Charlie says, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

"What?! Why?!" I shout with wide eyes, why would he-

"He kept talking to his friends about how hot you look and how he's gonna-"

"Okay I don't wanna hear it." I roll my eyes, uncrossing my arms. Boys suck.

"Okay well lemme get dressed." I yawn and shut the door in his face, see Charlie also has his own room in my house, I have my own room in his house. I even keep some of my clothes at his house and vice versa. We're that close.

I walk over to my closet and pick out an outfit I thought would be cute and great for the game. A black v neck crop top, boyfriend jeans, my white Adidas, and of course one of my favorite jackets that says "Cute by psycho".

I smile at my reflection before putting on some light blush, mascara, winged eyeliner and nude lipstick. I'm ready.

I run down the stairs and grab my backpack, "Charlie hurry up!" I yell at the stairs. Soon Charlie runs down the stairs all dressed and ready.

We climb in the Jeep and drive to school, I had to be careful with my ribs, luckily the crop top covered the bruise but I still hurt obviously.

I turn up the radio and sing along to Sexual by NEIKED. I love this song.

"Okay we're here." Charlie says, I hop out of the car and follow Charlie inside.

Let's hope I don't fail my exam.
