"Stop the car!" I yell, James ignores me and drives faster causing my anger to grow. Why won't he stop?
"James we need to go ba-"
"Grace I love you but you need to stop talking so I can focus, do you want us to get in a car accident?!" James snaps at me, afterwards he sighs in distress causing me to shut up. If I try to talk he'll just keep ignoring me.
I look out the window frantically, what am I supposed to do? I can't leave anyone behind, especially when it's something this dangerous.
I close my eyes and think over something I could do, finally something comes to mind. It's a stupid idea and may get me killed but it's worth a try.
I look at the door handle and sigh, grabbing it and opening the door. I jump out of the moving car and roll into the grass, I scream out in pain once my back hits a sharp rock, I knew this was a bad idea. My back was in burning in pain but I tried my best to ignore it, standing up I walk back to the side of the road only to see the car coming towards me slowly.
James jumps out of the car and yells at the top of his lungs.
"What the hell Grace?!" He clenches his fists in frustration, his face growing red. I could barely see anything considering my sight was blurring, before anything got worse I croak out.
"Aphrodite."
Suddenly my world goes black.

James POV
"Dammit I should've listened to her!" I punch the steering wheel in anger as I speed down the road, trying to reach the house as soon as possible.
I totally forgot about Aphrodite, I was just being protective and trying to keep everyone safe. I was in a hurry and I thought she was in the car.
"James it's okay this isn't your fault." Sadie says, trying to make the situation lighter but honestly it didn't help at all. Grace is still unconscious and I'm gonna continue acting this way until she wakes up. She's the only one to hold me down.
I turn into the driveway and jump out of the car, frantically trying to find Aphrodite.
Suddenly I notice the note sitting on the counter, I look down at it and read over the words.
We got Aphrodite, Grace is next
-DarrenThe words had me shaking in rage, I huff out and punch the wall. Just the thought of Darren getting his hands on Gracie had my blood boiling.
I storm back out to the car and slam the door shut, I bite my bottom lip and punch the steering wheel again.
"Is she there?" Sadie carefully says, her eyes trailing up to mine through the interior mirror.
"What the f*ck does it look like Sadie?!" I snap with a death glare.
"Hey bro calm down." Bates defends, grabbing Sadies hand.
I look over at the unconscious Grace and imagine her telling me to be nice causing me to run a hand through my hair in frustration.
I take a deep breath in and start the car, driving away from the empty house.
"Sadie, I-I didn't mean to, like I didn't-"
"Is this you trying to apologize?" Sadie says with a raised eyebrow, I clench my jaw and spit out "Don't push it."
"I won't." Sadie smirks, looking out the window.
I sigh and look over at my Gracie, suddenly I noticed a large stain on the back of her shirt making my eyebrows furrow in confusion.
"Hey Sadie, check Gracie's back." I instruct, looking at the road and back at Grace.
Sadie leans forward in her seat and grabs the hem of Grace's shirt, she pulls it down enough to see what the stain was.
"Someone get the medical kit in the back." Sadie says with wide eyes, climbing out of her seat and in the passenger with an unconscious Grace.
"Shit." I curse noticing the blood stain.
Zane hands her the kit in panic, Sadie quickly takes Graces shirt off causing me to growl in anger. Zane and Bates are sitting right in front of this, I grab the shirt and throw it over her front side so no one else could see.
"James I got it, eyes on the road." Sadie says, I wanted to fight back but chose not to and look back on the road.
To be completely honest, I didn't even know where I was going. I contemplated on going to another gang house but Darren knows where all of them are.
I don't know why we keep hiding, I'd much rather just kill him so we don't have to keep going places. All I need is like a trap or something, so we can catch him and kill him.
I look over at Grace to see Sadie stitching up her back, she must've slit it somehow. I frown and look back at the road, I feel bad for not listening to her and snapping at her. We're supposed to be equals, I shouldn't treat her like that.
"Okay I just need to put some bandages over it then she should be okay." Sadie says, sifting through the kit.
I nod and look forward, deciding to do something that should keep everyone safe. I turn the wheel and focus on the road ahead, if I want everyone to be safe then I should take them to the place Darren would never expect us to be.
"Zane call over the private jet from Liam, tell him to get it prepared." I grit my teeth, clenching the wheel so hard my fists turned a pale white color.
"On it." Zane mumbled as he pulled out his phone. I looked over at Grace, her condition made me want to punch a friggin wall. She's so selfless, she didn't care about her health when she jumped out of the car, she thought of Aphrodite.
This was one of the reasons I love Grace, she's perfect for me. Everything she does has an effect on me, and I loved being captivated by her. She's just perfect.
So I intend to keep her safe, no matter what.
