Another Psychology class ended, strangely ordinary that is for Mavis. Lessons went on just the same with her other classes in IDEA: no unnecessary exchanges of opinions that have hidden meanings to them, no uncomfortable stares, no ticking time bomb. For the first time in a long time, she could see a glimmer of hope from the end of that dark tunnel. Maybe a miracle of some sort happened while she's away that made her invisible to certain people. She was sincerely hoping this scenario could last until her last day in IDEA. Maybe it was never too late to keep the promise she made to herself.

"Alright. I'll see you again next week. And don't forget to send me your papers before Friday. Have a wonderful week everyone.", said Prof. Morin as he bid his students goodbye. Everyone else was already on their feet ready to leave the room after the professor when Genevieve walked hastily towards the middle of the platform asking everyone to stay for one more minute.

"Well, as you all know, I will be celebrating my birthday this coming Friday and each year, I always come up with a special theme to make the celebration even more interesting...of course, you guys already know that. This year's theme would be...", said Genevieve all excited. Mavis seemed to be the only person who looked baffled by her almost animated way of sending out her invitation.

"Vampires!",added Genevieve as what looked like her personal butler, hand each student in the room a folded vintage parchment. It must be the invitation. "That comes with a special reason of course. Our company, 'Infinity Cosmetics' will be launching its newest collection: MIDNIGHT ENCHANTRESS themed after the sexy cold blooded creatures that are vampires...plus I'm a huge fan of romantic vampire stories! I do hope everyone will come. I guarantee you a night that is nothing less than grand and enchanting. Thank you!"

Mavis opened the folded parchment that is locked by a red colored candle wax with the infinity symbol embossed on it. It clearly embodied the theme, like a props in a fantasy movie. After looking at it for a few seconds, she put it back inside her bag and started walking towards the door along with the others. She passed by the front row just in time Jeremy stood up, about to head for the door as well. They both glanced at each other.

The last encounter she had with Jeremy was at their apartment. After that extremely uncomfortable and vague conversation, Mavis could not even imagine how to act around him anymore. She could no longer fathom the depth of his stubbornness and the extent of his pranks after seeing him step a foot into her own private space. She knew that he wouldn't just stop there.

Jeremy started walking, still looking straight at her. This time, he's not wearing his usual arrogant and menace aura. He looked rather serious—an expression Mavis can associate more with someone like Raleigh. Two of his other hanger-on seemed to be waiting for some action to happen and stayed behind him, whispering to each other while stealing glances towards their direction. For some reason, Mavis could not really move an inch from her spot. She was not sure if it was because of that rather strange expression on his face or the feeling of trying to avoid even a single probability of them bumping into each other or the anticipation of yet another prank.

Jeremy was moving closer and closer to her until they were just about 2 feet apart. Then he continued walking straight passed her towards the door and outside the room. That's it. Mavis wasn't the only one who was left surprised. Even his friends looked shocked and disappointed.

"Now...that's a relief.", she said to herself as she head for her next subject. She still find it strange for Jeremy to just walk pass her without letting out a single word or gesture in an attempt to annoy her. Although she's glad that somehow, things seemed to be going her way now, she couldn't help but wonder why. She shook her head repeatedly hoping to scrap the unnecessary thoughts in her head.
