Jasmine was walking along the spacious, and luxurious corridor of the Krause Imperial Hotel. She was already wearing the body-hugging gold sequence dress she wore the night before. She found it freshly washed and neatly folded on the couch in the living area of the suite room.

"What the heck happened last night?" she murmured as she tucked her hair behind her ears. The last thing she remembered was going to one of the noisier and rowdier clubs in the city--one where she could go wild without looking weird since everyone in there was expected to act that way at some point in the night.

"How did I end up in his hotel room anyway? This is so frustrating!" she exclaimed while letting out a long, deep sigh as she waited in front of the elevator. "Whatever. He's still dead asleep anyway. I'll just pretend that this didn't happen. Yup. That's it!"

After a few minutes, the elevator door opened and she was momentarily startled, seeing a familiar face inside, leaning against the wall.

"Jasmine. Fancy meeting you here," uttered Raleigh. Despite saying so, strangely, he didn't look surprised at all.

Jasmine just smiled and stepped inside the elevator. They were quietly standing about three feet away from each other until Jasmine remembered something.

"Right! Have you heard anything from Mavis?" she exclaimed, her voice louder than necessary that the elevator attendant couldn't help but glance at her with a shocked expression.

Raleigh shook his head. Jasmine took in a deep breath and pursed his lips.

"Maybe...she went somewhere...to forget..." uttered Raleigh calmly.

Jasmine didn't respond.

"...or maybe remember," he added.

Jasmine looked like she had just snapped back to her senses. Like she, too, was just reminded of something.

"You're right!" she said, "I need to go somewhere."

Now, she's fidgeting. As if she couldn't wait to get out of the elevator. As soon as they reached the lobby, Jasmine hurriedly stepped out of the lift, almost tripping in the process then she rushed towards the hotel exit.

Raleigh reached for his phone from his pocket and dialed a number.

"Hello," he uttered, "Please check if Jeremy is already awake."

"I'm happy to see all of you, too." Uttered Prof. Morin with his usual cheerful disposition as he stood in front of the class. This was after he said his usual morning greeting but has never gotten a proper response. Instead of being offended by it, Prof. Morin would just casually shrug it off by responding to himself which would annoy the class even more—particularly the ever so moody Jeremy. Prof. Morin could clearly see him snorting while he was sitting with his back slouched on the chair and his foot tapping the floor impatiently.

"Are you happy, Mr. Jeremy?" Prof. Morin asked. Although he sounded perfectly polite, he knew that Jeremy would take it as something sarcastic and vexing—like he always does.

Jeremy just glared at Prof. Morin and stared back at the pen he was twirling around his fingers. It seemed like he did not have any intention of participating in class in any way, despite all possible provocations. Prof. Morin just continued to look over at his direction, patiently and calmly even. After about 10 minutes of not speaking and staying in that same position, the class began to murmur restlessly. Jeremy, after realizing that Prof. Morin suddenly stopped talking after asking him that question, looked back up, towards the whiteboard in front of the class. Prof. Morin was just leaning on the table behind him, his hands clasping each other in front of him while he gazed at Jeremy without so much as a word.
