Chapter 11

Nash P.O.V.
I had just gotten off a call with Kehlani. To be honest, I'm mentally breaking down but I know I have to stay strong. Not only for my family but also for Kehlani and Aiden. I promised. I promised that he would survive. I promised that he would come out alive and strong but I just don't know. The glass hit his spine that's very close. He could get paralyzed. I immediately called my mom and let her know what's happening she said she would cal, my dad and some other close family friends and ask them to all pray for Hayes. I then called Cameron and let him know what's happening and asked him if he could also let the boys know and to pray for Hayes too. After 10 minutes I got a call from Bart. I answered seeing I had nothing else to do. He told me that he was thinking about reuniting magcon. At the moment I was on the border of excitement and sadness. I told him I would talk it over with the rest of the guys and we'll get back to him in about a week. After 5 minutes of getting off the phone with Bart I finally reached the hospital. I was honestly scared to walk in. I was scared that Hayes had more than just a fractured rib, broken arm and wound in back. I prayed that, that was all. As I walked into the ER I was greeted by a friendly doctor and a nurse. I walked up to the desk and asked for Hayes Grier. They asked me for my relationship and I said brother. The lady told me that he was in surgery at the moment so I would have to wait. I walked over and took a seat in the waiting room. About two minutes after I saw Kehlani walked in. She looked like a mess. She had mascara stains and her clothes were so messy. I immediately called her.
Kehlani P.O.V.
I honestly didn't know how to explain what I felt at the moment. I was depressed cause my true love might not survive but at the same time I felt betrayed and angry at him cause he probably was gonna go back on tour. I'm not mad, that he is cause I know it's his job, I'm mad cause he couldn't tell me. I had to hear it on the radio, and Bart did mention he's been planning this for months. Why would he try to come into our lives if he's just gonna pack his bags up and leave? It feels like we're his toys he plays family with us when he wants to and when he done he goes back to playing the young, wild and free life. After a few looonnng minutes of crying my eyes out I decided it was time to go back inside. I washed my face and tried to fix my clothing it got a little wrinkled from all the twists and turns in my ball of tears. I walked inside only to hear a familiar voice
"Kehlani!""Kehlani!"Nash said
"Are you ok?"he said
"Yea I'm fine. Do you wanna come with me to Aiden's room?" I asked
"Yea of course." Nash said
"So I called all our of close friends and family and asked my mom and Cameron to explain to everyone what happened and to keep Hayes in their prayers." Nash said
"Thank you I'm sure he'll be glad you did that"I said with a smile
As we approached Aiden's room we caught him sleeping. So we decided it was better to stay outside and talk for a while.
"So, let's not wear ourselves down Kehlani. Let's think positive. How about the weather?"
Even though I didn't feel like to laugh I still did. "The weather is beautiful" I said with a chuckle
It wasn't too long after that I went back to my depressed stage. I was looking down playing with my fingers, anyone who knew me would know that there was something on my mind.
"What's wrong?" Nash said
"Oh, nothing I'm just thinking" I said
"Well, whatcha thinking about?"He said
"Well, I'm just thinking about how amazing your brother is"I said trying to avoid the real problem.
"Oh, well I wouldn't say amazing, I would say quite annoying and idiotic if you asked me"He said
"How can you say that he risked his life to save another. If it wasn't for him Aiden would probably of never been alive at this moment." I said raising my voice a little. To be honest I really think I was a little too hard on him there he was making a joke but I took it too far. I was honestly just too stressed to hear any jokes and any little thing ticked me off. Nash kept quiet until someone spoke up.
"Dr.Woods"Dr. Loady said
"Dr. Loady any news on Hayes. I asked
"Well, thankfully we were able to remove the glass without damaging any spinal cords. He's under heavy medication, he'll probably wake up in about five minutes. Oh and we would like to keep him here overnight just to make sure his vitals are good." He said
"Ok, thank you sooooo much you're the best Dr.Loady."I said with a smile and gave him a hug.
"It's my job so I have to be"He said and with that he walked off.
"Nash if you want too you can go over to Hayes room while I'm getting Aiden."I said
"Ok what room is he in?" He asked
"813"I replied
I immediately went to wake up Aiden I knew he wouldn't mind getting up from his nap to see his daddy.
"Hey Aiden" I said
"Hey mommy" he said in a raspy voice
"Guess what?" I said with eager
"What?" He asked confused
"WE CAN GO SEE DADDY NOW!!!" I said
"YAYYYY!!!""What are we waiting for let's go"he said
And with that we took off. We began our quest on searching for room 813. I didn't know where that room was cause I was hardly ever up in the surgery floor. I always sticked to ER. After 5 minutes we finally found it. We walked in to see Hayes watching tv and laying down.
"DADDDDDDYYYYYYY!!" Aiden screamed
"Hey little man, are you ok?" Hayes said panicking
"Yea, you're my hero daddy. You saved me from the bad objects. Thank you and I love you." Aiden said while giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Aweee thank you Aiden" he said "I love you too" he added in
He turned to the door to see me standing there with my head down. All of a sudden Nash popped up behind me and said he'd take Aiden for something to eat while Hayes and I talk.
"Hey, are you ok Kehlani?" Hayes asked
I really didn't want to start an argument he had just gotten out of surgery and I didn't want to make his heart rate too high or anything so I just said "Yea of course everything's fine I'm just happy my two boys are ok." I walked over to him and gave him a hug. He then scooted over a little for me to lay down next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder just enjoying the moment.
"Nash told me what you said about me" He said chuckling
"Oh really and what was that" I replied
"That's I'm an amazing person and the way I shielded Aiden was so sexy." He said
"Really, I don't remember saying any of that stuff." I said
"Ok then, you're gonna regret it." He said
After a moment of just laying there and taking in everything I said
"You really are amazing."
"Oh really? Just amazing?" He said
"Yea I think that's all" I said, I don't know why but when I'm with Hayes my mind doesn't focus on what's important or seriousness, it only focuses on being happy and living in the moment. I knew at the moment that there was nothing in the world that he could do that wouldn't make me smile.
