Chapter 9- The Dark Forest?

Mackenzie's POV

We head down the hall and get into the elevator. My mom pushes the button that says Grocery Store, and it takes us up.

"So what are we getting today?" My mom asks me."2 frog legs, 2 eyeballs of a goat, a pair of sunglasses without lens, a black sheet of plastic, and a hero sandwich with no cheese, tomatoes, or onions." I say as I read of the list of things that I could bring.

My mom gives me a crazed look. "I'm not even going to ask." My mom says to me shaking her head. "Haha, I don't think you want to know!" I say laughing.

We enter the store, wave to Veronica, the cashier, and go find our items. "Ok, 2 frog legs." My mom says. "Yup!" I say. We walk down the EXOTIC AISLE and find two frog legs and the two goat eyeballs. Then we walk down the DELI AISLE and grab the Hero Sandwich.

After that, we go down the CRAFTS AISLE and pick up the black sheet of plastic. "Ok I think that's all!" I say to my mother. "Ok! Let's go!"My mother says. We then leave our Home Grocery Store and return back.

Once we get back, we set out snacks, and have a Once Upon A Time marathon, just the two of us. I look at my phone, 10:30, I yawn and tell my mother I'm going to go to bed.

I grab the stuff from the store and go to bed.

Narrator's POV

"Hey guys! I brought the stuff for the potion!" Mackenzie says to her 'real' friends, holding up the bags. "Great! Now we need to get the Pixie Dust from The Dark Forest. I already have the magical hot chocolate." Chrysanthemum says.

"The Dark Forest?" Mackenzie says shivering."Yup! We have to take it from the Evil Witch Chelsea!" Delilah says.

"Then let's do this!" Mackenzie says bravely. They then pack all the stuff for the trip, and set out on Cameron's ship.
