Chapter 17- I like you too 😊

Mackenzie's POV

He's probably going to say Kylie, who says she doesn't like him, but I always see her looking at him, and then looking back at me so I know she does which kinda breaks my heart in a ways and it's weird cause we're like sisters, and we love each other enough for me to know that she would never do that to me. Or maybe Sarah, who's known him since 3rd grade and has been best friends with his previous girlfriend who I know he doesn't like. I decide what to text back, even though I think I know who it is.

Narrator's POV

MW: Just say it already!!!😫

MC: It's.. It's...

MW: It's who! It's who!

MC: It's you

Mackenzie's POV

I read that text over and over again, deciding what to text back. I was in total shock but after a few minutes I come up with a bit of movement just enough to text back.

Matty's POV

Man! What have I done? She probably hates me right now, and never wants to talk to me ever ever aga- Dong! Uh Oh! She texted me back! She doesn't hate me! She still wants to talk to me! But what if it's a horrible answer? I decide to answer it.

Mw: I like you too😊

Mc: You do?

Mw: Yeah I mean ever since that day at Santa Cruz. I thought you were going to say either Kylie or Sarah...

Mc: No way! They're too obsessed with me! Sarah is just a friend, and Kylie thinks I like her but I dont.

Mw: Did your mom say that you can come over?

Mc: Oops let me go ask her. I'll see you soon 😉

Mw: K bye 😊

Mc: Bye😊

I set my phone down (still in his POV) and run down the stairs to my mom. "Mom Mom! Guess what!" I say breathing hard. "What is it honey?" She says to me. "Mackenzie likes me back!" I say smiling. "Aww! That's great honey. Are you going to ask her out? I think your old enough since your in the eighth grade. I know you thought you were too young in the fifth grade when you dated that girl Mariah." She says.

"Yeah, but that was a mistake because she didn't like me anymore. But I'm over her cause I now have Mackenzie." I say smiling again. "Oh can I go over her house?" I say knowing she'd say yes. "Of course you can just be back before 6:00 so we can get dressed for the dinner!" She calls after me cause I ran out the door after she said 'Of course you can'. "Ok I will!" I call to her.
