Chapter 28- It's Time

Mackenzie's POV

It's been one month since the coma, and four months since the shooting. The doctor said I could go home now, only I can't drink soda, or eat very hard foods. When we arrive home, everyone is coming over to see how I'm doing. "Hi Mackenzie, ti ricordi di me?" A man says with a cake walking towards me. "Umm, not really, but you cook really well." I say tasting the icing of the cake.

"Haha, well that is because I am your personal chef Leonardo." He says. I stop and think for a second. Then all the memories come back to me.

"Oh! I remember now!" I say as I get up. "Your Uncle Jimmy, Your Mrs. Kennedy, Your David Michael, Your Stacy, Your Jessie, Your Aunt Petunia, Your Cameron, Your Delilah, Your Clementine, Your Kevin, and your Chrysanthemum!" I say going around the room.

"Yes!" They all shout in unison. "Yay! I got my memory back!" I say excitedly.

We have a little party, and then everyone goes home, except my 'friends'. I ask my family for a little privacy, and they go into whatever there doing. "So you guys wanted to talk?" I say to them. "Yes we did. Um, we have something to tell you." Cameron says with a little worry in his voice. "Cameron has something to tell you." The rest say. "We need to go." He says. "Oh so I'll see you tomorrow?" I say. He chuckles then has a blank face.

"No, we need to go... and we're not coming back." he says facing away from me. "Hahahahahaha! That's a good one guys! Hahahaha!" I say. "Oh your serious? But why?" I ask. "Because you don't need us anymore. Your growing up Mackenzie." Cameron explains. "But of course I still need you guys. Please don't leave." I say sticking my hand out, but they reject it. "You can always visit us in Drekland. Goodbye Mackenzie." They say. "Yeah, goodbye" I say hugging each one of them, but being careful not to squish Delilah.

"You take care of her alright?" I hear Cameron say to Matty. I turn around as Matty puts the sunglasses on. "I'll protect her with my life, justtttt as long as I don't get kidnapped again." He says smiling at me. I smile back. My best friends in the whole world, just left me. But I'm not alone, I have the greatest family anyone could ask for. And that will never change... Ever.
