After the long and emotional day you had, you decide to go to your bedroom to relax. You sit on your bed and lean up against the headboard. Soon enough the tears start running down your cheeks and you can't keep them from falling from your eyes.

-

Not even 15 minutes after talking to Tom, you hear someone unlocking the door. You quickly wipe your tears and try to hide the fact that you were crying.

-

You hear the front door close and foot steps echo in the hallway. "Y/n?" Tom shouts your name.

-

"I'm in here, Tom," you say in a regular voice, knowing he will hear you in your quiet house. Your voice is shaky and it's obvious you were crying.

-

You see Tom's shadow right outside you bedroom doorway then Tom's tall figure is in the doorway, his blue eyes staring at you. He only pauses for a moment then he takes two long strides towards you. He sits next to you on your bed and just looks at you with an apologetic look. The look in his eyes, the long day that just ended, and your sleepiness (being that it's nearly 3:30 in the morning) makes you emotional and you can't help but start tearing up again.

-

"Aww, y/n, shhh..." Tom tries to calm you and comes to sit next to you. He puts his arm behind your shoulder and you lean down to lay your head on him. You let the tears spill out. Tom has his arm wrapped around you and his hand rubs your arm sweetly. His other hand is on your knee and you feel so close to him. You've cried in front of him before, but this is the first time you've really broken down completely in front of him. The stress from the day and the emotions that have been building up the past two weeks are finally spilling out.

-

"Y/n, I'm so sorry... I was only trying to do what I thought was best... I know I was wrong, and I know that you deserved some sort of explanation at least...." Tom keeps talking with the softest and sweetest voice to you. It's so comforting seeing him and hearing him again. It feels so good to lay your head on his shoulder and have his arm wrapped around you. The tears finally stop flowing and you take a deep breath.

-

"I missed you..." You say in the quietest whisper.

-

"I know. I missed you too...." Tom replies.

-

You feel emotion start to build up again as you prepare to tell Tom more about the man and the phone call.

-

As if he was reading your mind, Tom squeezes your arm reassuringly. "It's very late and I'm sure you are very tired, darling. Let's talk in the morning, okay? Everything, right here, right now, is fine. It can all wait. For now, let's just rest, okay?" Tom says and begins to get up.

-

"Tom, can you stay here?" You ask him.

-

"Of course, I will be on the couch so if you need any--" you cut him off.

-

"No, I mean like... Here..." You pat the place where he was just sitting. You see an odd look on his face then realize what he probably thought you meant from that question. "I mean, like, not in a weird way!" Your cheeks begin to flush and you get flustered. "I just haven't seen you in so long and it's been such a stressful day... It just makes me feel better..." You trail off and then put your face in your hands, feeling completely embarrassed.

-

Tom chuckles and starts to walk back to where he was just sitting, "of course, darling, whatever makes you feel better." You get back into the position you two were just in, and your sleepiness takes over immediately. Your eyes seal shut and your mind drifts off into happiness.
