I didn't say anything back. I just put on my headphones. Looked out the window. And began to think about Emily. It took a while before we reached our new home. But before you knew it, we we're in San Francisco, California.

"We're here, honey." My mom says, rubbing on my back to wake me.

I got out of the car and waited for my mom. Uncle Kevin pulled in right behind us. My mom got out of the car and waited for my uncle to finish pulling in.

"You know, sis, we would have been here sooner if we flew." Uncle Kevin says, getting out his car.

"Oh. Shut up Kevin you know how I feel about planes." My Mom replied, grabbing my arm.

We walked to the door, and my Mom looked at me.

"What is it, Mom?"

She grabbed the keys from her purse.

"I want you to open the door." My Mom says, handing me the keys.

"Why?" I asked, questioning her motives.

"Because I want you to open a new chapter in your life." she said, holding the keys out to me.

"Whatever you say, Mom."I didn't want to sound rude, but I never wanted to write another chapter. I was happy with my story in Ohio. I grabbed the keys and unlocked the door.

I opened the door and walked inside. My uncle and mother followed.

"Is this everything you hoped for, sis?" My uncle says admiring the view.

"Yes, it is. It's exactly a little more than I expected." She said with the biggest smile.

"What do you think, Troy?" My uncle asks, grabbing my shoulder.

"It's nice." I say, trying to sound happy, but the true is this place is huge.

"Come on honey, let me show you your room." My Mom said, grabbing my arm.

My Mom and I walked upstairs and made it to my new room.

"How do you like it." My mom asked.

"It's bigger than my old room, that's for sure." I say scanning the room.

"Honey. Thank you again for everything. You'll like it here, trust me." My mom said, wrapping her arms around me.

I hugged her back and showed a small smile.

"You guys ready to unload?" My uncle stepped inside.

"Yes. Let's get it over with." My mom says, walking downstairs.

It took a few hours before we finished unpacking everything. My uncle left when we finished. He wanted to hurry back to his family. I went to my room and laid on my bed. My phone buzzed, letting me know that Emily had  texted me.

Hey, did you make it to your new home yet???
