Chapter 13

"Troy?" Jamie said bumping into me.

"Jamie I thought you left already. I'm so glad you didn't. I smiled.

"I was actually on my way out." She said glancing at me and some guy behind her.

"What? Why are you leaving? I just got here. I'm sorry I couldn't reply to your text." I said sounding guilty.

"It's okay I just need to leave, come on Zion." She said grabbing his hand.

"No. Don't go yet. Is this your friend." I asked looking at the guy behind her.

"No, I'm her boyfriend." He said giving me a cold stare .

"Oh, well I think the both of you should stay." I said not focusing on the glares her boyfriend was giving me.

"Hey Troy did you find Rose and Bradley yet?" Mira asked walking behind me.

"No, not yet." I replied staring at Jamie and her boyfriend.

"Mira?" Jamie asked shocked.

"Jamie? Oh my gosh hey!" Mira said surprised.

"Uhh ya hey." Jamie said.

"Wait you guys know each other?" I asked confused.

"Yeah. She used to go to our school. We were friends." Mira said staring right at Jamie.

"Troy I'm sorry I have to go. I'm avoiding your girlfriend." Jamie said.

"Girlfriend?!" Both Mira and I asked.

I stared at Mira surprised that she was as shocked as I was.

"Alexis? Jamie said seeming to be getting aggravated.

"No we're not." I said firmly.

"Which means she wants to date you. Get out while you can." Jamie smiled and joked.

"Wait. Why are you avoiding her?" I asked concerned.

I look over to Mira and she didn't seem to happy about us talking about Alexis.

Alexis came out of no where and stood on a table with a microphone in her hand.

"Ugh she's so extra." Mira muttered clearly aggravated.

"Hello? Can I please get everyone's attention please? Alexis said into the microphone. The music was turned off while she was talking.

Myself and everyone else were wondering what Alexis were going to say. She waited for everyone to stop talking before she spoke.

"We have very special uninvited guests here tonight. My old friend Jamie." Alexis said pointing in our direction.

People started to stare and whisper at Jamie. Something happened between these two that I knew nothing about. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to find out very soon.

"Jamie has come back to visit us, so how about we welcome her back with a little game?" Alexis smiled and everyone stared cheering.

"What do you say Jamie? How about a little truth or dare or maybe even seven minutes in heaven. Alexis said glancing at me and Zion.

"Truth or dare is fine." Jamie said.

I was surprised she agreed to play Alexis game. But I also wanted to know what was going on between them.

"Jamie what are you doing?" Mira asked.

"I can handle her. It's not like you helped me out before anyway." Jamie said watching Mira mouth drop.

I stared at Mira but before I could speak Alexis did.

"Fine I'll pick the players then."she said scanning the crowd.

"You, me, Troy, Mira, Rose, Bradley, Matthew, Jake and your arm candy." Alexis said smiling.

I look around the room and spotted Rose and Bradley giving me and Mira a worried look. I'm also guessing she's referring to Zion as Jamie's arm candy.

"Pick someone else I don't want him to play." Jamie said.

"My house, my rules. Come on let's go." Alexis said leading us to the deck outback.

Everyone else watched us go and put the music back on. I'm sure they wanted us to stay inside.

"I'm obviously missing something here." I said once everyone sat down.

"Too much to explain in one night." Mira said, staring at Jamie.

The other guys were quiet.

"Who cares about the past? Let's get this party started for real." Alexis said.

"How are we doing this?" Jamie asked.

"Spin the bottle of course. I'll go first." Alexis said picking up an empty beer bottle. She spun it and it stopped on Mira.

"Truth." Mira said before Alexis asked the question.

Mira were looking very worried.

"Did you really like Jamie or did you just use her for her money?" Alexis asked without hesitation.

I was really confused.

"Of course I liked her. We were friends." Mira said not facing Jamie.

"Yeah right." Alexis said rolling her eyes.

A few more turns went by until it was Zion turn to spin. He spun and it landed on me.

"Truth or dare?" Zion asked smiling that the bottle landed on me.

"Truth." I said.

"Why did you invite Jamie here tonight? Do you like her?" Zion asked.

Jamie coughed and I couldn't believe he asked me that.

"Umm, no I was just trying to make up for spilling her coffee." I said.

"By inviting her to a party?" He asked.

"One question only Zion." Jamie interrupted him.

"My then." Jamie continued. "Why did you stop being friends with me Mira?" Jamie asked not bothered to spin the bottle.

"The bottle didn't land on me." Mira said.

"I don't care about the stupid bottle. Just tell me." Jamie begged.

"Isn't it obvious? She never liked you." Alexis said.

"Shut up." Jamie said.

"How have you not even figured it out yet?" Alexis continued.

I stared at Alexis trying to figure out what was she talking about.

"Me locking you in the closet causing your panic attack I had help." Alexis smiled.

"Mira was the one who told Me you're claustrophobic." Alexis continued.

I stared at Mira in disbelief Alexis couldn't be telling the truth could she?
