The two of us spent the night on the hill, talking and smiling. As the night rolled in, we drifted into sleep. I went first, dreaming of the days events and all that had with Nelly. The dreams were bliss, and I wished they could last forever. But sadly, all good things come to an end, and the day drifted in...

I woke up feeling ecstatic. Nelly was fast asleep next to me, eyes closed and resting on her side. Without waking her, I slowly stretched and stood. Another beautiful day was on the way! The sky was a radiant dawn, and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. I decided on a quiet morning stroll, but not before tending to Nelly. I knelt down and grasped my jacket by the collar. I slipped it off and gently wrapped it around her sleeping form. “Sweet dreams...” I said, standing and walking to a spot a couple of feet away. Inhaling a sharp intake of air, I stared down towards the coastal sea line. “You here too, buddy?” a voice came from behind. I turned to see Mike, The boy who had gotten engaged yesterday. “Yeah, its nice to have people that you really care for.” He continued. I sighed and nodded.

“Yeah...”

“But what brings it all together, is when you know that they care for you too.” Mike explained. This boy had a lot of wisdom that was surprisingly accurate. I looked over to Nelly, who was still sound asleep on the grass. “Listen pal, you'll want to keep her. She's a beaut'.” Smiling, I looked the boy in the face, trying to read his eyes. Was he giving me advice? “You don't need to tell me twice...” I muttered.

“Good luck, man. I wish you all the best.” Mike said, and then he was gone. That was strange... But he was right. I looked one last time at the sea, and turned, walking back towards Nelly.

Two strands of beautiful brown hair draped over her shoulders, and a small fringe hung over her left eye. Nelly really was a sleeping beauty. I sat down beside her. I watched as her chest rose and fell. “Hah...” I sighed, laying my head down onto the grass. Curling up side ways, I faced Nelly. It took a while, but sleep took me once more...

My eyes opened about an hour later, and the morning sun still seemed to be hanging in the same place. I yawned and stretched on the hillside. Nelly was still asleep. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the purple bow that I had found on the beach. Staring at it, I thought of my friends. What happened to them? I was determined to find them again. “Bonnie... Be strong...” I muttered to myself, closing my fingers around the bow.

“Mmmmmmm...” Nelly stirred. She was waking up. I pocketed the bow and rested my head once again. Nelly's eyelids fluttered, and she yawned loudly. Her eyes opened, and she smiled softly. I responded with the same. Nelly's eyes were a dazzling brown, much like my own, but with more beauty. “Morning, Nelly.” I said warmly. She responded and said good morning herself. Nelly soon realised that my jacket was wrapped around her waist. Before she could ask, I answered. “Oh, I-I thought you might have been a bit cold, so I...” The stunning girl sat up straight and carefully took the jacket off. “Thanks.” She said, smiling and placing the jacket on the ground. I took my jacket, put it on and jumped to my feet. Nelly started to stand, and I helped her up. “Ready?” I asked.

“When I'm with you, I'll always be ready!” Nelly said, a new passion burning in her eyes. “Oh, and Toby,” she continued. “Could we drop by my house? I have a little gift for you too...”

Fifteen minutes later, we had reached the main roads of Fuchsia City once again. Nelly led me back to her garden fence, and I stared up into the top floor window of the beautiful house before us. I identified the window immediately. It was the same window that a shadow had been looming behind two nights ago! Nelly pushed the gate to one side and pointed to the front door of the house. “Here we are. You can come in if you want...?” She asked slowly.
