Rain trickled down my nose as I cherished the moment for as long as I could. After ten seconds, Nelly took her head away, eyes closed and smiling. I was looking straight at her, and suddenly, the weather didn't seem so cold. There was a warm buzz inside of me, and I felt on top of the world. Nelly opened her eyes slowly and gazed at me with a look I'd seen so many times on TV. Her eyes were sparkling, and her lips were trembling. “A-ah... Sorry...” She spoke slowly. I brought my hand up to my cheek and felt the area that Nelly had kissed. My face was still recovering from the surprise, and my cheek felt like it had been zapped with a thousand jolts of energy. “T-thank you...” I stuttered, starstruck and happy. Nelly blushed and hid her hands behind her back. We both smiled heartedly, water dripping from our hair.

“Sup, guys?” Bonnie called from somewhere. We turned to find Bonnie and my friends standing there, smirking like idiots.

“Gah, erm... We were just, just... er...” I froze, trying to think of an explanation. Nelly looked away, twirling a brown strand of hair round her finger.

“Haha, don't bother!” Jake began. “We saw it all!”. I looked at them all. Bonnie and Holly were grinning happily, and Jake was laughing his head off. Ethan meanwhile, remained emotionless, staring into the rain with blank eyes. “Awwww! That was so cute!” Holly remarked, stepping forward and patting Nelly on the shoulder.

“Uh...” She replied, unsure what to say.

“Ha, ok, let's get you love birdies some shelter.” Bonnie joked, gesturing towards the Pokemon Center. Not a bad idea, I thought.

We were now safe inside the warmth of the Pokemon Center, wrapped in blankets. Nurse Joy had supplied us with them after we told her that we were roaming Trainers. She had happily agreed to provide us a night shelter, and even took mine and Holly's Pokemon to be fully healed. It was now that the Nurse returned, wheeling a trolley through the quiet halls of the Center. “Here you are!” She said, holding out two trays of PokeBalls. Holly and I stood, blankets wrapped around our shoulders. “Thank you.” We said, pocketing our Pokemon.

“I also thought you might be thirsty,” the Nurse continued, sliding open a metal draw at the bottom of the cart. She brought out six mugs of hot chocolate and placed them on the table in the middle of the room. “Aw, thanks!” Jake said, grabbing one of the beverages and sipping it. “Ouch!” he yelped, burning his lips on the hot liquid. We all laughed, and Bonnie took a mug of her own.

“Idiot, you do this!” She poked, blowing over the top of the drink before taking a small gulp. Jake held his mug in one hand and scratched his forehead with the other. “Its not that hard, is it?” Bonnie crowed. We laughed again, enjoying Jake's embarrassment. I mean, he'd laughed at mine and Nelly's, so it was only right that the same happen to him. Holly took a hot chocolate and three remained on the table. Ethan was sat on one of the sofas, knees up to his chin, deep in thought. “You want a drink?” I asked. He looked up briefly and shook his head. His eyes had the look that said “Later”. I looked to Holly and she shrugged.

The Pokemon Center was peaceful at night, no noise and only a faint light buzzed above our heads. I started to get cold again, so I reached for a drink. Nelly had the same idea, and our hands bumped into each other, hovering over the same cup. “S-sorry, here, you take it.” I said, grabbing the mug and handing it to her. Nelly took it slowly and smiled, taking a sip.

“Ah... Thanks.” She said.

“Aaaaaaah...” Bonnie yawned, stretching her arms. “I'm going to sleep. Good night.” She said, letting out another yawn. We all smiled as she grabbed a sofa cushion and stretched out to the length of the entire sofa, almost kicking Jake off the arm. Jake sighed and took a long drink of his beverage. “I'm feeling... Aaaaaah... Sleepy too, night.” He announced, laying his cup on the table and curling up into his blanket. There were three sofas in all, Ethan and Holly occupying one, Jake and Bonnie sleeping in another. The third was were Nelly and I sat. Ethan moved for the first time in ages, leaning forward and swiping the last mug from the glass table. “Mmm...” He sighed, after drinking at least half of it at once. He took one more gulp and returned the mug. He'd drained it. Ethan fluffed up a cushion and curled into a ball. He didn't even say good night. Nelly, Holly and I were still conscious, drinking the hot chocolate slowly as if we were never going to get another. “I was just wondering, and I hope you don't mind my asking,” Holly began. “But that pendant is beautiful! Where did you get it?” She asked Nelly.
