Cheyenne

I had just moved to the neighborhood and at first glance, it looked like shit.

I just came from a vicious argument with my mother and I need some fresh air.

I slipped on my skinny jeans, put on my converse and my Issues t-shirt. I head out to find a nearby park to gather my thoughts.

As I start to get lost, I see a tall, white boy skating. I would usually just try to find my own way, but something drew me to him.

"Hi" I said, nervously.

"Hello..." he replied.

"Um, I'm new to the neighborhood and I was wondering if you could point me towards the park." I smiled, looking into his blue eyes.

"Uh sure. Actually, we only have a skate park."

"It's okay, I just need somewhere." I said.

"Well, you can just follow me and I'll show you. I'm heading there anyway."

"Okay." I grinned.

The more we walked, the more excited I got. He was soo cute and shared my same interests. We both liked the same bands and the same shows, then I realized, my eyes started watering.

"Why are your eyes watering?" he asked.

"Oh nothing." I said, wiping them away.

When we had finally made it to the park, I watched him skate and it was the most adorable thing ever. As soon as he stopped to take a breath, I didn't hesitate to ask questions; I wanted to know more.

"So, what school do you go to?" I asked.

"I go to Hopkins." he said, painting.

"Oh cool, me too! I'm going to be a Sophomore."

When he was done with his skating, he walked me home.

As soon as we got to the porch, we were in dead silence.

Until:

"So, I'll see you later?" I asked.

"Yeah. And if you ever need help, you can text me." he responded.

We exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes.

I crawled into bed that night, with the biggest smile on my face.
