Cheyenne
Best moment ever! But the next day, the aftermath was not good.
My mother saw what I got and how much I spent.
She was really upset and she put me on an indefinite punishment.
"No phone, no computer, and definitely NO GOING OUTSIDE!" She yelled, taking my phone away.
"But-"
"NO, I don't want to hear it. And that's all."
I sighed. Could this get any worse? I thought.
I ran up to the stairs to my room and plopped on my bed. I was trying to make a plan to sneak out but I didn't want to get caught.
Plus, I've always been a bit of a goodie-two-shoes. I never did anything terrible.
I spent almost the whole day in my room thinking about Alex.
How am I going to last this long without him. School starts in a whole 2 weeks. I pondered.
Suddenly, there was a thump at my window. The wind is really whipping up. I thought.
And then, another thump, and then, another and another.
Finally, I got up and looked out of my window and there he was,
standing in my mother's garden."What the hell are you doing here?" I whispered.
"I hadn't answered all day and I needed to see you. I tried the front door but your mother said that you were asleep."
"Okay. And how are you going to get up here?" I said.
"I didn't really plan on having to climb but I'll give it a try." He smirked.
He had many failed attempts but finally, he was on a roll and I was on my knees pulling him.
Right before I was about to pull him in, my door flung open.
"What are you doing?" My mother asked.
"Uhh. Praying." I said, smiling.
"Near the window?" She inquired.
"Yeah, you know, like, in the movies."
"Oh okay, well I'm going to bed."
"Goodnight mom."
"Goodnight"
The second she closed my door, I pulled him in.
"Oh my gosh, my arm is soo tired." I said.
"I was dangling 10 feet in the air and you're tired?"
"So what did you want?" I asked.
"I told you. I wanted to see you."
I smiled. If being bad felt this good, I never wanted to be good again.
"Come on, I know just the place we could go," he laughed, grabbing my hand.
"Wait, how are we going to get down there?" I asked.
"Hmm..."
We ended up sneaking through the front door and running like hell down the street; hand in hand.
Finally, we ended up going to our high school's football field. Ours was the biggest in the district.
We ran around and piggybacked and yelled.
These, were the moments I lived for.We finally laid down next to each other and smiled.
"Better than sitting in your room right?" He laughed.
I rolled over to my side, facing him.
"Way better." I said, looking him in his eyes.
He put his arm around me and I wrapped my arms around his stomach.
"Cheyenne?"
"Yeah?"
"What are we?" He asked, looking at me.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"Are we friends or are we together?" He replied.
Loaded question. I had been wondering the same thing since we kissed last night.
"I don't know."
"I want to be with you," he said.
"I want to be with you too." I grinned.
I looked up and he was staring right at me. I felt like it was the perfect time to kiss him; and I did.
This one was much more aggressive than the first.
He rolled over on top of me and kissed me harder, like he was hungry.I didn't stop him because I honestly didn't want him to stop.
But I knew I had to definitely stop him, once my legs were straddling his.
"Okay, I think it's time to go." I said, struggling to breathe.
"Why?" He said, kissing my neck.
"Because, I don't want to go too far." I said, sitting up.
"Okay, let's go." He said, making a sad face.
As he walked me home, we were in dead silence. He held my hand but he wouldn't talk.
"So, are you ready for junior year?" I asked .
"Yeah, a little, I guess." He smiled, nervously.
We reached my house and it was like I never left. Perfect, I thought.
"So, I'll see you later?" I said.
"Yeah. I'll come by tomorrow."
"Okay. Bye" I said, kissing him on the cheek.
I snuck back in and something was a little off.
My mother is an avid snorer and no sound was coming from her bedroom.
I opened the door to see if she was okay and she was still lying down in her bed but her chest wasn't moving.
I checked her heart and it wasn't beating.
