Shawns POV
Y/n was at work all day so I had to spend the entire day by my self. In the morning I wrote some songs and tried to play the piano but completely failed. I felt sorry for y/n, she's so stressed lately and I feel like I can't do anything. Maybe I should just surprise her and make her relax for a bit when she gets home from work.
*at the mall*
First I went to lush and bought her her favorite bath bomb, after that I went to the grocery store and bought this big heart with chocolates in it and some champagne. Right now I'm in this cute store and I don't know it's name but it has these cute house decorations and I absolutely love it. They sell rose leaves so I'm definitely gonna buy those and I'll buy some candles as well.
*at home again*
It's now 5 pm and y/n is coming home in 1 hour. I made sure everything was ready and cleaned up. I filled the bath tub and turned our fairy lights on. I made sure that our bed was cozy so she can relax when she gets out of the bath. I placed the champagne next to the bath and turned on some slow and relaxing music.
Y/n POV
I'm exhausted, I worked all week and haven't spent time with shawn at all. I miss him, he's there iknow but still I can't spend time with him and it sucks. I turned off the car and walked towards our door. I heard shawn slowly humming to some music and I smiled to myself. I walked inside the house and saw shawn standing there with a rose in his hand, I looked around and saw that everything was cozy. I felled my eyes tearing up, shawn walked up to me and kissed my head. "Babe, it's time for you to relax, I know you're stressed and I know you feel sad because we're not spending much time together, but I wanted you to know, that I love you and I always will...you make me happy y/n, and I can't thank you enough for that. You're beautiful and so sweet...you're the best y/n" he placed his lips onto mine and kissed me softly. "I love you shawn and thank you for everything" a tear slowly fell down my cheeck. He wiped it away and took my hand in his. We walked upstairs and all the candles and fairy lights were on. "It's beautiful, thanks Shawn" I whispered.
I sat in the bath listening to music and thinking about how thankful I am for shawn. Shawn was downstairs and I wanted to ask him something. "Shaaaawn!" He ran upstairs and asked me what's wrong. "Do you wanna sit with me in the bath?" He smiled and shook his head yes. He pulled off his clothes and sat next to me. His arm wrapped around my waist and my head on his shoulder. "I love you shawn and thank you again". He chuckled. " no problem y/n, it was time for you to relax and I'm happy I could help".
They eventually got out of the bath and got dressed in night time clothes. They got into bed and hold each other tightly. This. This is real love and they knew it.
