Routine, a simple word followed by many tasks. Harry Malik had a routine. Harry Styles? He was figuring it out. Overjoyed that his mother had moved to the same town as him, Harry went to visit her with Louis one morning. It wasn't a part of any routine.

"I do love these visits we have, " Anne swooned, "I agree," On his lap is Louis, the hybrid finishing his mid morning nap his daddy made him take after saying he was grumpy that morning. Harry sighed contently before shifting the boy to lay on the couch as he stood taking Anne's hand leading her to the kitchen. "I need you to tell me something,"
"Okay, what's wrong?" Anne asks her face falling as she only worries its that Harry is remembering things. "W-what happened to dad?"
"Your father? He uh, he killed someone." Anne admitted softly, Harry's emerald eyes widening, "Other than the hybrids?"
"Yes, an owner of the hybrid." Harry sighed sadly, "Did he know Louis was a hybrid?"
"He did, I do too. I found out on accident though, you and Zayn tried keeping it a secret." She mused laughing near the end as Harry chuckled, "Z-Zayn said something, and I don't want to look into it in fear that I'll find out something bad. B-but I have to know, I-it's killing me that I don't know-"
"Harry," Anne soothes taking her sons hands as the two sit at the kitchen table, "Whatever it is, ask Zayn. I promise you, that man loves you more than life itself." Harry glanced down tears building in his eyes, "T-that what I hate, he-he loves me so much, a-and what do I give back? I can't love someone I don't know."
"Maybe that's the problem, you worry too much about what your giving. Harry life isn't fair, it's not he gives some you give some. It's all about time. Time will tell-" Harry rolls his eyes sniffling, "What if time tells wrong? C-can Louis handle a divorce?"

"He already has." Anne reminded, Harry snapping his look to her, "T-that's what it was. Za-Zayn said in the hospital that we were divorced." Anne nods sweeping her hair back, "You two had a fight, got pretty nasty and you guys filed for divorce. But you forgot to cancel it. Simple little thing, whole 'lotta trouble." Harry stubbornly shakes his head, "T-that's not all. What did we fight about, what happened between us?"
"I can't tell you that Harry." The man sighs rising, "Then you're no help to me." Grabbing Louis he heads towards his car hearing Anne following him, "Don't you think if it benefited you I'd tell you?"

"It's my life!" Harry growls having Louis jolt awake with tears, "I-it's my life, my fucking life. A-and you don't think I don't deserve to know what the hell happened with the man I love?" Anne frowned taking Louis buckling him in for Harry who stood out next to the driver's side wiping his eyes. Thunder cracked across the sky angrily, "The man you love," Anne starts wiping her own eyes as tears well in them, "Do you even know if you're talking about Zayn or Niall?" Harry sobs raking a hand through his curls, "N-no, no I don't."

Routine, Harry always had a routine in the morning. He would get up make coffee for himself, cook everyone breakfast do at least one load of laundry, get Louis to school, and than work. It was the Harry Malik routine. Zayn stood in the kitchen staring at the coffee pot, he sometimes drank the beverage but not usually. However today he didn't have the option because the pot was empty and cold. No one made the coffee.
Scoffing at how a stupid appliance could mean so much, Zayn found himself flipping on the pot seeing the familiar red light he saw every morning. It meant Harry was up. Harry bring up meant coffee.
Hearing a car pull in the driveway, Zayn quickly flipped it off going to see Harry's SUV pulling into the garage. The man looked sad, Zayn felt his chest tighten. He wasn't used to Harry being sad, he was the selfishly depressed one. But that was in the past. Zayn couldn't look back on the past, because Harry didn't remember it.

Greeting him at the door, Zayn grins as Louis jumps into his arms with sloppy kisses, "We's 'onna 'ave 'pissa 'tonite?"
"Of course we can have pizza tonight!" Zayn beams laughing at his little one that cheers. Harry watches with clouded eyes, "See your mother?" Zayn asks setting Louis on the ground letting him go play.
"Uh yea, I did." Harry replies entering the kitchen where he sat at the counter pulling out a bottle of wine, "Didn't go well?" Zayn mused attempting to keep things light by the joke. Harry only scoffed rolling his eyes, "You tell me, you don't remember a damn thing and every fucking person is walking on fucking eggshells around you like you're a fragile flower. How did it go? Fucking great like every other day of my damn life." At the end of his rant, Zayn stood wide eyed with his mouth ajar. "D-did she saying something wrong?"
"No zayn, She didn't say a damn thing at all. Nothing about our divorce, nothing about why I love you, o-or why I don't love Niall. She said nothing, a-and that's why I hate it." Crying into his hands, Harry sniffles glancing up at Zayn who stands with a cross look, "W-what?"
"I don't know why you don't love Niall the way you used too. Maybe part of you still does, I don't know. I don't have the answer that you wanna hear for the cause of our divorce. A-at least an answer that won't break your heart." He pauses, Harry for the first time seeing Zayn with tears filling his usually calm hazel eyes, "A-and I Harry Styles, d-don't have the fucking heart to tell you about our past because it didn't and won't just break your heart; it breaks mine too."

>Long time no see I guess. Hi guys, emotional start, I know. I'm totally crying right now, in a cool way. Please Please Please tell me what you think of this!!! ~Emma :)
