A/N: Hi! I am planning to go quite off story for this chapter, its mainly going to be about- SHUSH! WE CANT TELL THEM WHAT ITS ABOUT. ITS SPOILS ITS. Yikes! Sorry! Alrighty! Hope you enjoy! (Also I hope you like Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn!)

For 4 days Saraen spoke to no-one but Aragorn. He didn't reply of course, he was in some sort of coma. This made her feel useless since she could do nothing. After Kili talked to her about Aragorn and comforted her, she sat alone outside of the great doors of the healing halls and waiting for information on the other ranger.

Of course she didn't just sit still for 4 days, that would be impossible. So she trained. And so she trained to kill everything and anything that could harm him.

Before dawn she woke and headed to the archery range. In the darkness was the perfect time to train in archery, this way she forced her eyes to become stronger and her senses more honed. After 1 hour in the dark, at sunrise she raced over to check on Aragorn. Then she would practice hand to hand combat with the guards.

On the the 4th day, she spoke. As she dodged a blow from Lindir an elf rode up to them. She preffered to practice on the outskirts of Rivendell, in the gardens. It was more like an obstacle course there where things were more unpredictable.

"My lady!" called the elf, who quickly dismounted and then bowed in greeting to the daughter of Elrond. The combat however did not stop. She swung her leg into Lindir's side and shouted, "Sorry! I cant stop! We are having a slight discord as you can see." she laughed. Lindir and the other elf froze. She had not spoken since Aragorn had been brought into Rivendell to anyone but Elrond.

She caught herself right before a left handed punch could land on Lindir's jaw. Her eyes widened as she felt something click inside her, something felt whole. "He is awake, isn't he." It wasn't a question. It was a statement.

Sara and Aragorn could never explain how their bond worked, things clicked with them. They fit like pieces of well made armour, like the designs of a tapestry. Without being together, they knew what the other was thinking, and feeling. Which was a problem sometimes growing up together in Rivendell. They weren't born with it, but one day things just started to... Click.

Click. There it was again, yes, he was awake and she needed to see him NOW!

"SORRY LINDIR, SORRY ELENDIR GOTTA GO!" she shouted as she sprinted through the gardens to the main halls where he waited.

She took a detour by one of the fountains and saw.... the dwarves were naked, and bathing in the fountains. This caused her to pause and think only one thing: Huh. Well you dont see that everyday. Weird.

Saraen leapt from a tree onto the roof of the great hall and dashed over top of the roof, finally dropping down in front of the doors to the healing hall just as the opened.

"Always one for the dramatics sister." commented Aragorn as he leaned against the now shut doors.

Tears filled her eyes and in less than a second the 10 foot gap was crossed and she wrapped him into a tight embraced. "NEVER. EVER. GET HURT AGAIN." she ordered into his shoulder.

"Says you. Look at yourself Sara! What was it this time. Hmm?" he joked giving her a playful shove. "OI! Ok, so listen. I MAY have tried to behead a mountain troll with my axe and then gotten a few bones smashed when that failed." she mumbled the last part.

She clasped the sides of his face and he did the same and they both examined each other at arms length. Then they were both slapped on the cheek by the other.

Lightly. Sort of.

Kinda.

No. Not really.

"I still love you Alta Toror'." She said with a smile. "Even though you are an arse." she added.

"And I love you too Ai seler'." He replied with a grin. "Even if you are clumsy." He added in rebutal. Then they linked arms and walked off to catch up on the time they had spent apart.

"Hey, guess what I say today?" asked Saraen as they walked away from the healers rooms.

"What?" he questioned.

"I saw a bunch of dwarves bathing in the fountains, naked. Naked, I tell you!" she replied with a laugh.

The news of the famous rangers awakening had spread throughout Rivendell. When it reached the dwarves it confused Kili even more than it already had. And Fili wasn't being much help either. Saying things like "Well i'm sorry you thought you had a chance with her mate, but a lass like that is sure to be claimed already." and "maybe she just treats all of her friends like that? She seems like a rather emotional woman".

Kili was over just very confused. He brightened when he saw Gandalf approach because he thought that he should ask him about his situation with Sara. Or rather Lack of. But before he got a chance the old wizard started informing Thorin and the rest of the Dwarves of a feast beign held that night.

"In celebration of your arrival Lord Elrond has decided to hold a feast in your honour tonight. There will be feasting outdoors and then a dance afterwards to commemorate the return of our friend Saraen. Now, none of you are expected to do any dancing at all, but I do expect you to atleast be respectful of the dance. Not for me, but for Saraen. Now I am sorry to be brief but I MUST be off.". Gandalf spoke quickly and briefly and then departed as soon as he came.

As he left her mumbled sommething about "stupid rangers", "never listening to my adivce" and "BLOODY TWINS".

"Gandalf, wait!" called Kili but the wizard was already gone.

Kili decided to go look for Saraen to see if he could straiten out the story. He perked up when he saw her bolt by him, swing up into a tree and then run along the rooftops of the feast hall. In a poor attempt to catch up to her the dwarf quickened his pace. When he arrived to where he saw the ranger drop from the building he was just about to round the corner when he heard the end of a conversation.

"I still love you Alta Toror'." came a voice, a female voice. Saraens voice! "Even though you are an arse." she added.

"And I love you too Ai seler'." replied another husky male voice. "Even if you are clumsy." He added in rebutal. Then they linked arms and walked off together.

Sadness enveloped the dwarf, he slid down the wall and tugged at the roots of his hair. Stupid. Stupid. stupid, STUPID. Your'e a dwarf, she's a Dunedain. And a beautiful one at that. Your'e a dwarf and he's a Dunedain. And a handsome one, a very handsome one. Their words to each other echoed throughout his mind. I love you. I love you. Would she be staying in Rivendell with who Kili now thought (well he was very sure. 100% sure at this point) was her betrothed?

No! She swore to protect Bilbo and he knew that she would follow through. Right?

After walking fro about 30-40 minutes Aragorn's wounds started to hurt, too much to walk. So quickly they returned to Saraen's and Aragorns chambers. Since they were siblings their rooms were connected by a door. As she opened the doors to their rooms she asked her brother "Are you going to the feast tonight?" hoping the answer would be yes. And it was.

"Good! Now go get ready. I need to as well." and she hurriedly pushed her older brother through the door they shared.
