The next morning I threw on a sweater and jeans, laced up my sneakers and covered my hair with a beanie. I decided to brave school today without makeup, partly because I woke up late, partly because I honestly had no effort to do it, other than the chap stick on my lips to prevent the cold air from effecting them.

I settled on toast for breakfast since there was nothing else in the house, and sat on the sofa like every other morning. Except this time, I was alone. Jackson still hadn't returned. Which was unusual for him. His motto, as disgusting as it is: "Get in, and get out." *Shudders at thought*

I watched an episode of The Blacklist that I had recorded, and got ready to leave. You may be wondering why I'm in the house on my own so often. Well, my parents are both lawyers, that's how they met the  Leighton's, they work in the same office. They're out a lot, and get back before dinner, so when Jackson's at university, I'm on my own in the mornings.

I walked through the door and got in the car, like every morning. And was greeted glumly, like every morning. My life is so interesting.

I had physics today and really needed to pay attention if I wanted my Starbucks. But before that I had AP maths. With my "best friend". Note the sarcasm.

And I knew that we had algebra today, and luckily for me, I'm good at it. But unluckily for me, Zack sits next to me. Not fun at all.

Why did Mr Taylor do this to me? I have no idea. I thought he liked me. How wrong I apparently was. Seriously.

"Hey, blue eyes." He said when I sat down. I rolled my eyes in response.

"You finished, slowpoke?" I had finished. Twenty minutes ago. Okay that may be an exaggeration. And he said I was the slowpoke. "Yes." I replied simply. I honestly wasn't much of a talker in class, unless, as the last week had proved, I was with Meghan. I may have narrowly avoided detention because we were having a "literally dying" moment, over Benedict Cumberbatch. I regret nothing.

"High five?" He suggested dumbly, but I complied. What? He looked so innocent and cute. Wait- cute? What is happening to me?

We had finished an entire period's worth of work in twenty minutes. It turns out, he's good at algebra too.

"Now what?" I asked, bored. "We could get to know each other like best friends should?" I scoffed. "Oh come on!" He turned away from me, and towards the teacher. "Sir, we've finished. Can we go to the library?" Mr Taylor agreed. And Zack dragged me out of the classroom. I vaguely heard some "oooooh's" from behind me, as we left, and I'm pretty sure there was a "get some Leighton!"

For the second time, he didn't take me where he said he would. This time we went to an empty classroom.

"What are we doing?" "I told you, we're going to get to know each other." He said in a duh tone. "How?" I asked. I'm going to be honest, I was suspicious, he had gained a reputation as a flirt and a player. I had reason to be a little suspicious. I mean he did bring me to an empty classroom.

"Never have I ever." He smirked evilly. I wasn't worried. I mean I never really had done anything. I beat the game's purpose. "I'll start." He was still smirking. It made me both want to kiss him, and slap him.

"Never have I ever... Finished a jawbreaker." Not exactly what I was expecting, I must admit. I took a sip of the soda he had placed in front of me.

"Never have I ever been in handcuffs." I saw the mischief in his eyes. There was an underlying message behind my statement, not going to lie. He took a sip, must say I wasn't surprised in the least.

"Never have I ever been in love." I didn't take a drink and neither did he. We just look each other directly in the eye, neither of us wanting to lose what had turned into a staring contest.

We carried on like this for a while. Playing the game, laughing and actually enjoying each other's company. I learned that he had been arrested twice in his lifetime, and he learned that I had done nothing interesting or note-worthy. A fact that he swore he would change.

He also found out that I'd never been kissed. Another thing he said would change. Yeah good luck with that Zack.

He walked me to my physics lesson, where I tried to concentrate, but couldn't seem to for whatever reason. But my lab partner takes good notes so I just copied him. Not a good attitude I will admit, but oh well.

Soon enough it was lunch. And we all gathered around our usual table.

"How was physics?" Joey asked. He didn't want to lose this bet as much as I wanted to win it. "Great." I deadpanned. It's a well known fact that science definitely isn't one of my favourite subjects.

"How was maths?" Morgan questioned. Me and Zack looked at each other and started laughing, thinking about all the random and funny things we learned about each other.

Everyone was looking at us like we had two heads. "What?" Zack asked. Obviously thinking the same as me.

"You guys are getting along." Connor told us. And I guess we were, but I had a feeling it wouldn't last. From what Meghan told me, Zack does stupid stuff all the time.

Well hello Internet! Since last time we spoke, I  reached over 100 reads! Which may not seem like a lot, but to me it is! And I'm thankful for all of them. Sorry I didn't update yesterday, but I was on a drama trip, and we didn't get back 'til 11 after we saw a play. Plus I was having writer's block. Anyway, thanks for reading this.
