I'm sorry I haven't updated for a while, I was sick and still am a little bit, so I was feeling seriously uninspired. But I'm off school for the next two weeks so I should hopefully be updating more often. Also I've been reading at an even more ridiculous rate lately, and I finally read Allegiant, from the Divergent series, after watching the movie, and I'm kind of at a love-hate point with the ending, I'm not going to spoil it, but I feel like I need to vent about it, so if you have read it, you can message me and we can vent together hehe :) Oh and I also changed the cover, I made it, and it's kind of amateur but I like it. If anyone would like to make one for the book, then feel free, and you will get a dedication. Anyway after this long winded writer's note, on with the chapter...

Jacey Summers
I feel like a bad person right now. Connor, Joey and Morgan were stood at my door, and I was sat around with Meghan and Zack. They insisted that they were staying for the day on Sunday too, and we were beginning to get bored.
In that moment, with them at the door, I realised that I had been neglecting the people that had always been there for me. I, Jacey Summers, am a horrible friend.
"Hey..." Connor started, before he saw the others behind me. They were each holding overnight bags, and I assume they were going to surprise me. They were each bearing gifts of food. Way to make me feel better guys. Bringing me, my biggest weakness.
"Come in guys!" I said with as much enthusiasm as I could muster, I still felt like a shitty person for not inviting them.
Despite the initial awkwardness, we are best friends so we quickly got over it, and now all six of us were sat in a circle on the floor trying to think of something to do, preferably with drinking involved. We're teenagers, what do you expect? Even if I wasn't actually planning on drinking considering what happened last time. Even though I knew that no one would try and drug me here, in my own house.
"I know! We can play truth or dare, and whenever someone passes, they drink. And if anyone asks, 'what?' they take a shot."[1] Joey says after googling drinking games on his phone. We all agree, that didn't seem too bad.
Rule of thumb for us, is whoever comes up with a game goes first. So Joey was up, and I made sure that Meghan was sat next to him. I think Morgan had caught onto my set up scheme, because her dare for Joey was 'Seven minutes in heaven'... With Meghan. You go Glen Coco, [2] also know as Morgan, for this one.
Let's just say Zack was not happy about this. "That's my sister. Touch her and you die." Okay 'not happy' may have been an understatement.
Meghan took him over to a corner to give him a talking to, and I heard a few statements like "Don't ruin this for me!" And "You really are a prick." Trust Meghan to throw insults to get what she wants.
And she did indeed get what she wanted.
He returned at buried his head in the crook of my neck before groaning, which did something strange and wonderful to my insides. "Go, before I hit him." So they did. He snuggled even further into me, if that was possible before whining a little.
I smiled and shook my head. "Such a drama queen." I muttered.
He lifted his head to look me in the eyes. "What was that?" He challenged. "Nothin'." I drawled. "It sounded like you called me a drama queen, but I just heard you wrong, right?" He raised an eyebrow teasingly. I just shook my head again in answer before looking towards Morgan and Connor who were both stifling laughs.
"What?" I asked slowly. "Nothin'" They both said mockingly. Zack then returned to his earlier position, with no complaints from me.
Meghan and Joey emerged from God knows where, and to honest I really did not need to know where in my house they made out. They had huge grins on their faces and their hair was all over the place.
Zack was about to lift his head but I didn't think he would want to see his little sister with that 'I just made out with this guy and I liked it' expression, or maybe in this case glow, so I quickly shoved his head down in my shoulder and covered his face even more. "What are you doing?" He asked suspiciously. "Trust me, you don't want to look up right now." He didn't freaking listen, did he?
And when he did look up, he saw them, in all their post make out glory, and something snapped. He leapt up, chased Joey out of my house, and threatened Joey's life. In Zack's defence Joey did kiss Meghan on his way out, that definitely didn't help the rage. The idiot just didn't know when to quit, especially in life or death situations, like I'm classing this as.
Zack returned with a victorious look on his face and I assume that we wouldn't be seeing Joey for a long while. He could be dead. Zack did look awful smug....
I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts of murder being committed in my front yard, mainly because I wouldn't be cleaning it up, but maybe Spencer Reid [3] would show up and we would fall in love and-
"Jace?" A voice snapped me out of my glorious fantasy, and brought me back to the real world, I'm not going to say unfortunately, because that's a given. Being married to Spencer Reid would make you like the luckiest person ever.
I raised my head to see my friends looking at me, with amusement written all over their faces. "What?" I asked.
"Did you know that you make facial expressions and body movements while you think?" Meghan spoke first.
I shrugged, I had, in fact been told this before, and depending on what I was actually thinking, it could get quite embarrassing, so me thinking about murder and Spencer 'Sexy' Reid should have been a sight to see.
"And you obviously didn't hear what we were saying, while you were stuck in that strange little head of yours, huh?" Connor questioned and I shook my head. Obviously I was a little distracted.
"Truth or dare. You're up kid." Morgan stated. Fan-frickin'-tabulous.
I pretty much only said dare to get them to stop looking at me like I was an escaped psychopath, but boy did I regret it when Zack turned to me, with this arrogant, asshat smirk on his face. He said, "I dare you to come to dinner with our Mother."
I think I went through all of the emotions at that point. Confusion was first. "What?" I asked dumbfounded. "Drink." He pointed out before continuing. I reluctantly complied, grimacing at the strength of whatever it was. "I said, come to dinner with our Mother." He repeated.
"But, why? It's not exactly much of a dare." I pointed out. Zack and Meghan started laughing, almost bitterly. "Keep that in mind when you meet her." I nodded slowly, still not particularly seeing anything wrong, it might be nice to see where Zack and Meghan came from.
"How come I haven't seen her before?" I'd been to their house, multiple times now but she was never there. Meghan shrugged, "She works." Guess that's the end of that conversation then.
We then proceeded to hand out more dares, which resulted in me having to have a pillow fight with Morgan for the boy's viewing pleasure. Pervs. And Connor to almost toake his jeans off, mainly down to too much alcohol, but partially because Morgan was equally drunk and asked him to. So I called Joey to take them home. Not before Morgan pulled me aside and slurred, "Good luck meeting the family! You'll be his girlfriend before you know it!"
Yeah... She passed on a lot of dares, and was apparently out of her mind.
Zack and Meghan left not long after the others, leaving me to clean up their mess, and if that doesn't sound like a party, I don't what does. Note the blatantly obvious sarcasm.
I couldn't help but wonder what made Zack dared me this, and what this dinner could have in store for me. Their Mother couldn't be that bad.
Right?
