*3 weeks later*
My cocoon of blankets and warmth was ripped out from underneath me, and I sorta jolted awake to see my idiot brother, Sam, standing right in front of me. He was such a dork.
"Get up..." He groaned. "Dad says we have five minutes until we leave."
I looked at him. Confused as hell. "Leave for where?"
"Fishing, Robbie. Remember how Dad asked us to go fishing? And you were barely paying him any attention, like usual, but agreed to go fishing."
I sat up. I was still half-asleep. "Wait, what?"
"You, Dad, and me are going fishing. Get up."
"What time is it?" I asked, groggily stumbling out of the bed and into my bathroom.
"Three in the morning." He said standing in the doorway. What was he? Like my patrol or something to make sure I don't go back to bed?
I splashed some ice cold water on my face, trying to wake up. This sucked. Karma was bad. This is what I got for half-paying attention. Part of me wondered if Dad had planned something at this ungodly hour just to make sure that I'd pay more attention to him the future to make sure something like this didn't happen again. I wouldn't have put it past him.
I threw on some clothes that were half-way decently clean. Sam had already gone downstairs. When I came down, I grabbed a granola bar- also known as rabbit food, but hey, it was food, and I headed out to Dad's truck.
Sam was already in the shotgun, and I didn't feel like fighting with him, so I climbed in the backseat. Once I shut the door, Dad did not hesitate to start backing up.
"You boys ready to get some fish?" Dad sounded excited. It was too early to be excited. Normal people were still sleeping, but for some reason, I didn't have normal people in my life.
"It's too early, Dad." I groaned, trying to get my phone out of my pocket. I had to do something on this boring car ride. I tried playing some apps but grew way too frustrated with 'em to continue.
I logged onto my Facebook app and saw that Gabby had tagged me in a picture. It was a nice picture too. It was one that I taken of us on one of our adventures.
Gabby Howell:
Glad to have this super goofy funny guy in my life! He's awesome. :D – with Robert Patterson
I typed up a reply.
Robert Patterson: ha. thanks. nice having a sweet considerate girl in my life for a change. you're awesome gab. ;D
Everyone was probably going to be wondering why I was commenting on a post at three thirty in the morning, but I didn't care. Gabby's post deserved a comment from yours truly.
I continued scrolling down my news feed. Eventually, I came across a picture Juliana had posted. Some other dude was in it with her.
