Chapter 17

  (I called Jake and we decided to meet at a restaurant at 6pm) *Jake's POV* I find a booth and sit and wait for y/n. Shortly after she arrives in this maroon body con dress. She looks hot yet classy. She sits on the opposite side of me. "So I thought about your offering, and I accept" she says. "Great, we'll get all the paperwork done later, but right now I'm hungry, lets order. *Y/n's POV* Jake and I eat and then just talk for about three hours. The conversation just continues, its like if we were talking to make up the years that we were apart. Then I remember how I felt when I found out he and Madison slept together. I clear my throat and look at the time "9:40pm" reads the time. I know that I could stay for longer but instead I get up and tell him I have to go. *Jake's POV* Everything was going great, I even managed to make her laugh. Then she just out of a sudden gets up and wants to leave. I let her go and then realize she left her car keys and I go take them to her. When I go to the back where the cars are parked I see her crying by her car. I run to her and I lift her face by her chin. Then I see a bruise on her face and her lip bleeding. "What happened!?" I ask frantically. "Some guy robbed me" she says crying. I get furious and start asking where he went and I go to call the police. "No, Jake...just let him go, he only took my phone and a few dollars." She tries saying but she struggles because shes crying. She reaches out to me and I immediately sit next to her and hold her. "Its okay, y/n I've got you" I whisper to her. She cries in my arms and I kiss her head. I text Logan who was visiting to come pick up my car and drive it home. I then help y/n into her car and we drive to my house.
