Chapter 41

  *y/n's pov* "sure" I tell Ivan and he smiles at me. I grab my phone and see a message from Tessa and out of disgust I throw my phone on the bed and follow Ivan to Jake's room. We are outside on the balcony and we reach the ladders. Ivan looks at me and tells me to go first. I look down at what I'm wearing. "No you go first, I'm wearing a dress" I tell him. "Y/n, I've already seen you naked, I don't think it matters now" he tells me. I climb up and he does too. "I think there is something wrong with the ladder, it squeaked when I was climbing it" he tells me and we sit on the edge of the roof. We talk a bit about my past and his and then he asks me why I was crying yesterday so I explain everything to him. "Well now things are much more clear. Honestly, Erika is right, you and Emilio can stay together if you guys wanted to so just talk to my brother about it before making any decision" he tells me. I begin to say something but then I hear someone coming up the ladders. Ivan and I both turn and we see Jake. "I knew I saw someone walk into my room" he says and smirks at me. "Sorry Jake, we just wanted to be alone to talk" Ivan tells Jake. "So did you guys talk?" Jake asks Ivan. "Yea we ar-" Ivan begins to say but Jake interrupts him. "Great! So can I talk with y/n now?" Jake says and signals Ivan to give him his spot. Ivan looks at me as if he's asking if I'm okay with it and I smile while slightly nodding. He puts his hand on my thigh, smiles and heads back inside the house. 

 *y/n's pov* Jake then comes and sits where Ivan was. We talk about future videos and what is going on with me and Emilio. "Wow so Tessa and Emilio-" he begins to say but I interrupt him. "Yea..." I say and look at my feet swinging back and forth several feet above the empty pool. I feel Jake's arm wrap around me. "Well let's forget that, you need someone better" he says. I stop swinging my feet and become tense. "Jake... you and I ended for a reas-" I try saying. He pulls me in tighter. "Yea well times have changed...I've changed. I was the first to love you and I still love you" he tells me and lets me go but grabs my hands. "Do you love me?" He asks and looks me in the eyes. I pull my hand away and begin to say "I did" but he quickly gets up and starts to say something. "Let me show you how I've changed... go out on a real date with me" he tells me while looking down at me. I sit there thinking about it. "I sorry Jake, but I don't think it'll work out" I say. He turns around and climbs down the ladders. Feeling bad, I turn and look back down at the pool. Then I hear some rattling so I get up and walk to where the ladders are at. "Agree to go out on a date with me and I will let you down!" Jake yells out. He has taken the ladder off and put it against the railing so that I can't climb down. "Are you crazy?" I yell back but I laugh a bit. "I know I can make you happy, just give me another chance" he tells me as he puts his hand on the ladder. "I'll just call Ivan to come help me" I tell him. I turn around to look for my phone but I remember I left it in the room. "Sh**" I think to myself. "So what's it gonna be princess" he yells out. I go back to where he's at and look down at him. "Fine, one date" I say and he smirks.

  (The next morning) *Ivan's pov* I wake up to an alarm going off and I realize its not mine so I flop back on the couch. "Ivan turn that thing off!" Anthony yells out. "It's not mine!" i reply. Anthony tells me to turn it off either way so I sit up and see it's coming from where Emilio is at. I shove him and tell him to turn it off. He murmurs "leave me alone" and begins to go back to sleep. "Doesn't Tessa get the test results back today?" I ask him knowing that it'll get him up. He asks the time and I tell him its one in the afternoon, immediately he jumps out of bed and puts on a hoodie, slides, and goes to the bathroom. Not even 5 minutes later I hear him close the front door. *Emilio's pov* I get to Tessa's apartment and knock the door. She opens the door and looks worried. "Do you have the results?" I ask and she replies with "not yet". She tries to change the topic but I don't let her, I ask why she doesn't have them yet and she bites her nail. "I'll be right back, I need to get something" she tells me and heads to her bedroom. *Tessa's pov* I pick up my phone and call Jake. "Hey Tessa" Jake says over the phone. (In a panicky shaky voice) "Jake... the test results came back negative but Emilio wants to see them" I tell him. "Oh my god" he says and I hear him take a deep breath. "Whatever you do, make sure Emilio doesn't see those test results" he says and hangs up. I walk out of my room and I see Emilio with an envelope in his hand. "So this was on the coffee table but you said you hadn't gotten them" he tells me and looks annoyed. (Author's note 📝: Emilio is talking about the pregnancy test results Tessa got at the clinic.) I run up to him and take the envelope. "Emilio...I only lied because I love you and I couldn't help seeing y/n have you" I tell him and cup his face.
