DAY 17:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

ربي اشرح لي صدري و يسر لي امري..

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Day 17! May Allah accept our good deeds and forgive our sins. Ameen.

Dhikr of the Day:

حسبي الله لا إله الا هو عليه توكلت و هو رب العرش العظيم

Hasbiyah Allah laa ilaha illa huwa alayhi tawakaltu wahuwa Rabbul 3arshil 3adheem.

Action of the day:

Memorising an ayah, surah, page, or half a page from the Holy Qur'aan...

There's probably a surah that you always love to listen to. Today, make the effort to memorise some of it, if not all.

Subhan Allah, look how beautiful this is! You are memorising Allah's words in this blessed month, so just imagine the immense rewards!

For today:

1. Ask Allah to help you in memorisation.

2. Spare some time. Take advantage of time when you are most energetic and set aside at least 30 mins to memorise some parts of the verses.

3. Set aside another 30 mins to review and remind yourself of what you have memorised.

4. Don't forget to recite the memorised verses in your prayer. It will boost the memorisation since you will be repeating it constantly until it sticks in your head. Don't forget to always revise the memorised verses every few days. If you don't constantly remind yourself of the verses, you will be in danger of forgetting them. We seek Allah's protection from that.

For those who can't touch the Qur'aan and memorise while seeing (there's a difference in opinion regarding this issue, but we will take the rule that it's not allowed unless with a barrier), you might use tafseer of Qur'aan or even the authentic apps to memorise; and if you feel uncertain about the ruling, then just listen to the beautiful recitation. Don't forget to imitate the beautiful voice of amazing reciters (may Allah bless them).

Baaraka Allah lee walakum bilQur'anil adheem wanafa3any wa iyakum bidhikril hakeem.

I ask Allah to make us all hufadhul Qur'aan (Qur'aan memorisers) before He takes our souls to Him and before we reach old age. Ameen.

Smile; it's Sunnah. Take that deeep breath to start memorising the book of Allah.

Jazakumillah khairan.
