Ramadhan 1438: Day 3

DAY 3:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

ربي اشرح لي صدري و يسر لي امري....

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Day 3 is finally here! Alhamdulillah! Let's begin with our dhikr of the day.

Its two special statements which have heavy rewards on the scale:

سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم

Subhan Allah wabihamdihi subhan Allahul adheeem

All Glory is to Allah and all Praise is to Him. Glorified is Allah the Great.

Recite this today many, many times. Whenever you get a chance, recite this beautiful dhikr.

Our action of the day:

Today, we are going to do some research!  Research on a the surah or verse that you love hearing or reading. What are we going to do exactly?

Simple:

1. Take a tafseer book or open a tafseer app which you have or even visit authentic websites.

2. Search whatever surah you love. It can even be Suratul Ikhlas; and if it's long, then make sure you complete at least one page of the tafseer of that surah.

3. Our goal: Know the meaning of that surah/page.

4. Try your best to act upon the topic being discussed in the verses.

For example, the main topic being discussed in a certain verse/surah was perhaps sabr, then try your best to make it your habit this Ramadhan. Use this opportunity to change your life. If you weren't able to have sabr, this is the time to train yourself since being able to stay hungry from morning to evening, that's a prime example of sabr.
Never say, "I don't have patience." Yes, you do! No one was born patient. It comes with some training; and knowing that Allah is with the patient:

إن الله مع الصابرين

العلم بالعمل

Knowledge with Action

You learned from a certain verse speaking about the prohibition of backbiting, for example. Then you need to show some action, and that is abstaining from it.

Ramadhan is a month of reciting Qur'aan. We might be busy just reading through the verses, but what about reflecting on their meanings? The most important thing is understanding the verses, comprehending what Allah is telling you.

For today, that's what we are going to do. Read with the meaning. That's it!

Smile; its sunnah!

May your fast be accepted; and have a blessed day.

Jazakumillah khairan.
