DAY 27
Day 27!
Subhan Allah, we have 2 to 3 days at the most! May Allah accept our deeds. Ameen.
Dhikr of the Day
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min munkaratil-akhlaqi, wal-a'mali, wal- ahwa'i
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and aspirations.
Narrated by At-Tirmidhi; and he said: A hasan hadeeth.
Manners: very important in our lives! Knowledge without good conduct is like a boat without paddles. Akhlaq (moral character and good conduct ) is having good manners to family and relatives as well as outsiders.
Islam is a complete religion; there's no half deen, half akhlaq! I might sound Greek to you; but my point is you can't be a practising Muslim unless you're practicing hijab and good manners.
You can't practice niqab on one hand and be cruel to your neighbours on the other; you can't be one who keeps a beard and engages yourself in itikaaf and worship while being harsh and cruel to your employees. This is not Islam!
The Messenger of Allah was sent to us for the following reason:
((إنما بعثت لأتمم مكارم الأخلاق)) صححه الألباني في الصحيح
Innama bu'thittu li'utammima makarimal akhlaq
"I was sent to perfect the highest of moral character traits." Authenticated by AlAlbani in the Saheeh.
So, let's not be half deen, half akhlaq. We need to possess both in one. Let's reflect, analyse, and try to perfect our characters—don't tell me you are perfect!
You won't realise that such-and-such a characteristic makes someone's temper rise, because we see ourselves as perfect; and we might think that what we are doing or saying to so-and-so is very much deserved.
Well, that's not Islam! You've been waking up for prayers, fasting all day—that's the deen half, but what about your akhlaq?
Let's try to be good, well-mannered Muslims who can be an example for others rather than destroying the reputation of our deen by our conduct and behavior.
Ask Allah using above du'a for good manners. Let's rock!
Action of the Day
There are two wo special times daily which are very important in our lives: orning and night.
Morning: The start of a busy day.
Night: The end of a busy day and time to rest.
Think of the blessings if we started by dhikr of Allah and end by dhikr of Allah. It's not demanding at all!
So, for today, memorize any of the morning and evening adhkar.
Example:
Morning Du'a:
Evening Du'a
Bismika allahumma amoot wa'ahya.
Or:
Bismika rabbi wadh'tu janbi wabika arfa3ahu... (to the end)
NB: You can find them in Hisnul Muslim.
Try your best to memorize the du'as and don't forget to read them before you close your eyes and after you wake up. It serves as a blessing! Alhamdulillah. Allah loves those who are consistent with their ibaadah.
Jazakumillah khairan.
Don't forget to share! Smile; it's sunnah!
