Cosplay contests are loads of fun. Doesn't matter how old you are.
You have to find the sign up desk and sign up early. The form will ask you if you have made the cosplay yourself or bought it, what character you're cosplaying, your name and etc. They will give you a card with a number where you stand in the line and a time to come back to the desk so you can line up for it.
There is certain types of categories of the contest, there's the kids masquerade, performance, best in show and general. You can only enter one of them. The prizes varies for each part.
You can just pose or do a small skit.
