Chapter Nine

Otabek's P.O.V

This morning with Yuri was so perfect, I can't really explain it. Throughout first period, all I thought about was his beautiful eyes starring back at me. I kept also fantasizing about me and Yuri for all of first period. I don't even care about Mila starring at me anymore. Yuri is my new distraction from reality.

At lunch, I was the first one to sit down. Then, I heard someone behind me, at first I thought it was Yuri and got all nervous, but it wasn't. It was just Mila. She sat right beside me and said, "Hey Otabek, I was wondering if you wanted to sit at my table. You know you don't have to pretend to still want to be friends with Yuri anymore!" I was already stunned by what she said, but what she said next was just uncalled for. "You know, Yuri doesn't deserve someone like you, if you don't wanna end up like him, join us."
I didn't want to be to rude so i just said, "No thank you Mila." Mila blushed at me when i said her name. Soon, Yuri came and was surprised to see Mila sitting in his usual spot. "MILA!!!WHAT ARE YOU DOING SITTING SO CLOSE TO HIM!!!" He yells. Mila just stares at him with a smile, and slowly gets up. "You know, Yuri you don't own him, he has his own thoughts and feelings!" She says, then walks away. He sits down, obviously angry. He looks up and asks me, "What did she want, Beka?" I looked at him then say, "She just was saying that I should sit at her table." I decide not to tell Yuri all the mean things she just said about him, I didn't want to make it any worse then it already was. He looks down and says,  "You know, Beka you don't have to keep sitting with me anymore if you don't want to..." He started, but I interrupt him by grabbing his soft hand and saying, "Yura, you are my actual friend. Why would I want to sit with a bunch of fakes like them for when I have you?" He blushes heavily and smiles at me. He really does look good with a smile on his face! I think to myself. Then, he does the unexpected. He pulls me into a warm hug. Of course everyone stares, but I don't care at all.
