I'm in the writing mood idk sorry if this story as a whole is confusing I switch the POV's a lot but I promise the rest of the story will be more clear. I just wanted Luke's and Ashton's thoughts on Luke's first day at school, which will end in this chapter!
----------------------------------
Luke's POV
"Hey!" Calum called out as I got closer to the gym doors. "What took you so long?" he chuckled, playfully punching my arm.
I almost cringed at how fake he was. I couldn't believe that I used to fall for his stupid "I'm totally friendly" act before Vic opened up my eyes to who Calum really was. A monster. A bully. Something I used to be. I moved on, but clearly he didn't.
I decided to keep up a friendly conversation.
I laughed softly. "Maybe you're just impatient." Calum rolled his eyes jokingly.
"So," I continued. "Why'd you bring me to the gym, of all places?" Calum grinned at me. He pushed open the double doors of the gym and turned to me, his smile unwavering.
"You'll see."

Ashton's POV
Michael pushed me through the boys locker room doors, laughing.
What the hell? Not only is this bastard mean, but he's also insane. I'd never say that to his face, of course, because then I'd be asking for it.
Once I stumbled through the door, I gasped at the sight before me.
Josh, one of Calum's friends, was trying to hold Kellin down, but Kellin was putting up a fight, even though he very well knew that Josh was stronger than him. I never knew why Kellin got bullied, since he doesn't seem to take any of it personally, and he wasn't afraid to talk back to them. He's not the typical bully victim, unlike me.
Michael got Josh's attention.
"Hey! Look who I brought." Michael roughly shoved me towards the two. Josh and Kellin freezed in their position, Josh's fist raised. Kellin's eyes widened.
"You fucking promised-" Kellin was cut off by Josh pushing him to the ground.
"Hey!" Kellin yelled angrily. He regained his footing only to be punched hard in the face, which made him crash to the ground again. Blood poured out of his nose.
I gasped, tears threatening to fall. How dare they hurt my friend? If I wasn't so fucking weak then maybe he wouldn't even be in this situation.
Michael took me by surprise and pushed me against the wall, his disgusting breath hitting my face.
"The only reason why I haven't beaten the living shit out of your pathetic ass is because-" he paused, slamming my bruised back against the wall again, "-someone else is doing the honors today." He let me go, causing me to fall to the ground. I watched as Michael left the room, followed by Josh. Tears started to fall, clouding my vision.
Kellin.
I shot up from the ground and ran towards him, almost tripping over my own feet.
His body was crumpled to the ground, dried up blood on his face. He had a black eye, and his shirt had rips in it. Kellin let out a weak groan, as I fell to my knees, sobbing.
"Kellin? Can you hear me?"
"Y-yeah." He stammered, opening his eyes a little. Kellin immediately tried to get up, but I gently pushed him back down.
