The new girl

As I walked down the street in disbelief of what Romona had just told me. I bumped into someone. "Sorry," I said as I looked up to see a girl around my age dressed in a pink dress. "Its OK. I'm léjae," she replied. "Hi léjae do you live in the area I haven't see you around," I said curiously. "No I just move in ,"she said as she pointed to the house next to mine. I knew that the family in which occupied the house had moved out but I didn't expect someone to move in so quickly. "I really was hoping I could find someone to show me around,"she said. "I would be glad to show you around the community tomorrow," I offered. After I finished talking to léjae I went home to tell my mom what I had heard. When I opened the door she was sitting on the sofa watching TV. "Mom I need to talk to the best friend side of you now," I told her. She indicated for me to sit in the empty seat beside her. As soon as I sat down I began telling her about what happened at the park. When I finished talking talking my mom asked" Which boy keeps a diary."She then let out a slight laugh. I got up and went to the refidgeratror to get something to drink. I sat down to watch a show when I remembered that when Romona had texted me I was in the middle of doing my homework. I quickly ran upstairs to complete it. When I had finished my homework my called me from my room to for dinner. When I went downstairs there were more plates on the table than usual. As I was about to ask my mom if we were having guest over there was a knock at the door. "Kiley please go and let in the guest, " my mom instructed. When I opened the door I saw that it was the family from next door. "Please come inside," I said as I stepped aside. When they came inside they greeted my parents and presented them with a pie that Mrs. Samuels had baked. "Take a seat, dinner will be served shortly," my mom said. Léjae took a seat beside me and I gave her a slight smile. After my mother set the food out on the table she sat down and everyone started eating. I was deep in my thoughts when léjae said "the food is lovely Mrs. Ravens". My mother always loved it when she was praised for her delicious food. "Its my pleasure," my mother replied. After we finished eating it was still early so my mother insisted that our guest stay a while and watch a movie. My mom was kind of a control freak so it wasn't easy for her to allow Mrs. Samuels to pick the movie. Mr. Samuels never talked much. After we had finish watching the movie the Samuels family left our home and I was told to wash the dishes. Afterwards I went upstairs to chat with my classmates Geneil and Kimberley who were absent from school. I first called geneil who said she had an appointment with the doctor. " Why did you visit the doctor? Is something wrong?" I asked geneil. She refused to tell me what was wrong. " Its nothing. I'm feeling sleepy Kiley goodnight," Geneil said. I could tell something was wrong but I let it slid. I then called Kimberley who seemed to be in a very good mood. "kiley!! Wats up?" Kimberley greeted me. "Nothing I was just wondering why you weren't at school,"I replied. Kimberley said she had been to the beach. I heard kimberley's mother calling her in the back ground so I told her goodnight and ended the call. I was just about to go to be when my eye caught a piece of paper that someone had put under a pebble at my window side. I reached for the letter and opened it.

I had no idea who the letter was from but I was determined to find out. I placed the letter under my pillow and went to bed.
